It came to them in a dream. Unless NAAZ makes custom belts to GSh-30-1 this number makes no sense. Standard link has 25 rounds in it, so full ammo load must be divisible by 25
Could be the result of very troubled Su-34 development. Constant budget shortages, problems with deliveries of avionics components, all that could result in random limitations that can’t be fixed as easy once the aircraft is already on production line

AKU-ASP on the new batch, R-77M is probably fully adopted at this point
Well, guess it answers “How different Su-35S gonna be from Su-30SM2 in the game?”
Gaijin would have to also introduce Meteor, MICA-NG and latest versions of AMRAAM as well, to match R-77M performance level. I think initially it will enter the game with 77-1 and later new missiles would be introduced for existing aircrafts with BR reshuffles
Perhaps, but honestly I do expect the next generation of medium range ARH missiles with the introduction of Su-35S and, if Snail is generous, J-16 for China anyway, so… fair is fair
Now I wonder if any more advanced IR missiles are confirmed for Su-35. Would be nice having some more than R-73 (even if it minimal change)
R-74M aka RVV-MD, but the only difference from my memory is dual-band seeker (similar to Python 4) and better gimbal of said seeker. RVV-MD2 would be a nice step up - it gets a datalink on top of that seeker, but it was designed for Su-57 and i don’t know if Su-35S can work with it
latest SM2 batch had… AKU-170? Extremely difficult to read this but i think it is a number, not words.
Also AKU to the right looks mighty similar to the one for R-37M
Oh yeah,.I forgot about 74M. Doubt Snail gonna do dual band for any jet seekers anytime (at least not until 5th gens), but better gimbal would be nice addition anyway
Does grey/metallic paint R-37 indicate it’s a non armed missile?
Mock-up most likely, it is a photo of Su-35S form MAKS-2019. Actual combat versions are painted (or rather not painted) similarly to R-33s
After running back trough UAC news about fresh batches of Su-35S, last time they were delivered with AKU-170s was march 2025
After that, all the photos with good enough resolution to check have AKU-ASP installed on Su-35S
Yup,in manual the cursor keeps jumping over the contact…i reduced the speed of it but no luck…
R-37/77M for SM2 you’d say ))))))
77M unlikely, as i said, it looks more like AKU-170 than AKU-ASP, but second one is AKU-620 i am 95% sure
Gaijin be like:One billion R-77M for SM2.
sounds like this has gotten worse

I will throw them away for khibiny pods I don’t think it will compete with next gen ir’s of other planes.
