I’m not seeing anything specifically about the operation of the Intake Gates.
Reading this, it seems like it’s mostly talking about the Variable geometry intakes (considering “it begins when M=1.35 is reached”)
Is this all? It still doesn’t say anything about being Altitude or Velocity dependant.
Though, if it is altitude dependent, then the grates should definitely NOT be up at low speeds while airborne.
well that is what you get from a soviet pilot manual
that is simply something the pilot isnt supposed to concern himslef with that

i am 99% sure thatthis is just gaijin coding. MiG-29 also closes its intakes at low speed regardless of being in the air or landing. Most likely it’s just coded to deploy below certain speed and that’s it

Hopefully it doesn’t impact the engine performance in game at all.
On that video they got hit didnt they?maybe the damage created a problem

if that would have been the case the VWS would have been screaming, which would have been recorded alongside the pilots voices
video of a Su-30MK2 having an engine failure and after the engine fails you can hear RITA for the rest of the video
and after 2:05 you have pure Rita sound since the pilot ejected
at the very end of the video we also get a clear “over G”, “AoA” and “pull up” warning

Since my room decor is lacking I was looking for a Flanker poster I could put on one of my walls.

I really like these two.
Unfortunately they both suck.
This one has the wrong Flanker Designation and the “Background” is schizophrenic nonsense.
This one is better, but it’s a Su-35S. Not a BM. Also still calls it a Flanker-E instead of Flanker-M.
that is why you need to go for one without text
I might, but it would look weird just having a Photo on my wall.
Also I’m not buying anything from a cretin who calls a Su-30SM a Su-35.
Look in aviation spots website, they have great quality
