F-35 is probably one of the main programs where the different member countries would have a better handle on what their counterparts were doing / how well or not they were being employed. Combine that with the US F-35s being employed elsewhere - the past two years have probably given them a lot of real-world data against real-world targets to sift through.
As above UK is the only T1 partner for F-35 so has a greater access than most.

Russian navy wasn’t exactly swimming in cash, a single carrier was constantly breaking down and MiG-29K is smaller, cheaper and is already compatible with plenty of good ordnance. So Su-33 never got cool FCS upgrades that VVS Su-27s did. Which makes this

on a related to this topic note, i decided to play a random Su-27SM game
maybe this thing does need a 14.0 br after all
Bump it to 14.0 and make it a full SM3 config with R-77-1s and add a normal Su-27SM at 13.7 (AL-31F and normal R-77 only) and remove dual racks from it. similar to what they did with the 9-12 addition to the USSR
can also bump the MKK/MK2s at the same time to 13.7
i was thinking about making a bigger post about overhauling USSR Flanker tree with similar idea. Making Su-27SM in 2004 configuration without double racks at 13.7, bumping Su-30s to the same br, Making Su-27SM3 at 14.0 (barely any work to be done, it’s like 90% copy and paste of 27SM in terms of model and assests). Or placing Su-27M there
