The Raptor can’t communicate with F-35s.
Most of the internals of the Raptor were made by companies which are now out of business and the blueprints are gone.
U.S. Govt. has stated Raptor production won’t start again, leaving a finite amount of parts for the sub-200 airframes which were made. Meaning that Raptors will most likely go extinct in a few decades (see: Iranian F-14s.)
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the Raptor, but there are definitely flaws.
Luckily they did get a few upgrades recently like IRST and Scorpion HMCS.
Giving it dual racks will bring it over Gaijin 13.3 treshold of 6 Fox-3 missiles so it is probably out of the question. And at 13.7 it will just be worse version of Su-27SM.

I mean no shit considering it was deployed 2005 and was the most classified engineering piece that US has ever created. Not to mention current Raptors are getting upgraded to modern standards including bein able to communicate with F-35 iirc.
As for the blueprints I don’t think Lockheed Martin destroyed them completely.
Doesn’t mean they will not produce spare parts.
Considering they already working on its replacement its obvious that Raptor will retire sooner or later, just line any other previous US jet.
These problems are not related to plane itself nor design directly so technically Raptor doesn’t have flaws in this case.

I mean yeah, no doubt, but I haven’t heard about them making spare parts, so I can only assume they are or aren’t.

I’m not saying the Raptor is BAD, but it just… isn’t perfect.

It’s technological advancement and complexity is the biggest flaw on its own. Being so “advanced” basically made F-22 shoot itself in the leg. For the amount of money that was spent on the development, production and upkeep of the airframes they showed… pretty much nothing. And they would show pretty much nothing because, again, they are too advanced to involve them in any operation that would have even the slightest risk of loosing the aircraft

Nope, that’s why i suggest to add M2 at 13.3 in the first place, as well as AMBER pods for F-15EX. I am embracing unbalanced and broken state of War Thunder, instead of fighting it

By the time Raptor deployed no other country had something that close to Raptor’s performance. Only current F-35 is close to Raptor in terms of stealth capabilities while other nations either lack proper 5th gen’s or 5th gen’s entirely.
With new uptade they are getting HMD+IRST tho.
Its 70 degreee fixed plate AESA radar, as far as i know it’s still the most powerful AESA radar that is ever put into any fighter jet, plus Raptor design didn’t required gimbelled radar from the beginning.
Iırc they have more than enough spare parts for current active Raptors and they can always produce more.
