Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

My pov, I think I have path tracing on so it should look as good as their thing

higher output + chinese super composites, its gonna be a rocket lmao

BVVD also mentioned that J-15T is lighter than Su-33 in the dev stream
I think this is now the Flanker with the highest thrust-to-weight ratio in War Thunder

It does look great, they finally fixed the hud and interior in general.
Now we waiting for the exterior 😭

Yeah definitely.
Before it was the su-30sm2 that had best acceleration and thrust to weight

Yeah looking forward to all the new lights lighting up.
Will give it some jazz for sure

I do wonder why Russia doesn’t use composites in Su-35. Not like they don’t know how, Su-47 was like almost pure composites. And we can see Su-57 and MiG-35 being made out of composites as well

Russia did use composite in Su-35S, although I believe other factors like RAM coating increased the weight.

As they should, wonder how much lighter.

They used quite small numbers on Su-35 iirc.

Not enough to make difference.

Yeah, not nearly as much as the J-15T certainly.

Thats what I like about Chinese Flankers, not only they have similiar or better engines they also became significantly lighter at some point.

My only regret is that J-16 doesnt have canards like Su-30’s, without canard it feels like I’m missing a limb.

Yeah, I will certainly miss the thrust vectoring.
Though at least China still gets su-35

Yeah and that.

Gotta bug report the missing HUD tint filter, that can be put up.

True that it doesn’t have canards, but I think it’ll actually not lose as much energy in turns without it compared to a Flanker that does. J-16 will do very well in BVR because of it.

Well I have canard fetish, especially on Su-30 airframe.

So its kinda less juicy for my fetish.

Well it’s clearly too much work for Gaijin.
It’s basically a new mechanic

Just looked at the stream, cool renewed cockpit.

Also the new HMS cue device, looking clean as well, especially when it changes shape when locking a target.

Where dev?
