Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

I always love looking in here but anyways am curious what do you guys think the next russian aircraft will be

next Sukhoi will be probably the Su-35S and most likely the next russian aircraft

there is also the chance we get a Mig-29K or Mig-29M but that is less likely

What about the Su-30SM2 with better engines

way to new, news about the Su-30SM2 are way to recent and it takes a while to implement a new vehicle

so they probably are already working on the Su-35S

Hope God hears you, just hope they don’t break the game in the next updates :')

Am curious what could the su35s bring to the game

Stronger Engines, Better Radar, Better Armament on a lighter frame.

Imagine an Su-27SM with R-77-1, the Su-30SM Radar, and TVC.
The engines and radar are better, but that’s kinda the jist.

Should also have access to better missiles as well.

While the flanker carries more missiles compared to the 27sm the MiG-29M should do everything equal/better. Flight performance is better unless they fuck up big time on the flight model (the 29M should get a completely different flight model from other 29s as pretty much everything has been redesigned/optimized), radar is better, RWR is the same unless they decided to add an early skew of the prototypes and it has more countermeasures (although they might fire in pair so arguably it has less).

Also if R-27EA ever gets introduced the 29M as far as i know is the plane that test fired them if they ever got test fired in the first place. They could potentially fix the lack of R-77-1

SU-35 is also heavily upgraded though the aircraft structure was not changed.
Different materials were used, the airbreak was removed a new fly-by-wire system was added as well as stronger engines and thrust vectoring.

The 27EA was never test fired only the 27A was
and that was on a mig29S I think

Also is 2500 kg heavier than the og flanker so it’s a brick at high speeds, fly by wire doesn’t matter all top tier planes already get fly by wire even planes like f-15a

There is better and worse fly-b-wire systems.
We are in the age where a software update can improve handling and to some extend performance.

On top of having thrust vectoring SU-35 also has about 40kN mor engine thrust and can supercruise.

But in game fly-by-wire effectively not represented or being reflected in the instructor

He is talking about he one on the back of the cockpit. They remove it and instead started using the one you posted that work like the one the Rafale.

On my old crusade. Pic of two different su-35 batch produce this years. Note that Kibhiny come installed from factory. Further proving that the Kibhiny weight its on the Gross weight number going around.

Kinda lazy atm to check if it has been like that on all Batch.

Huh?

The role of the airbreak was taken on by the control surfaces.

The actual airbreak behund the cockpit was removed.

Ik.

Yes.

I wonder if gaijin will allow us to have a flanker that does it all. Good radar, missiles and flight performance

we just have to hope that they give the flanker more lift and reduce the drag,
that is the main issue with the Flanker FM at the moment

i think our last hope is the Su-35S it should also get the r-77-1, has an even better radar and IRST than the Su-30SM and should get A2G stuff as well (correct me if iam wrong)

and that is ignoring the stuff that it could get which isnt in game (r-37m)
