Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

You just made me realize the MiG-25 moved up to 11.0… sadly I still face it with my Mirage IIIC though

Perhaps because modeling the sensor fusions and spherical IRST would take more time.

i mean su-57 also has spherical irst, its not special.

First I’m hearing of it that the Su-57 has spherical IRST coverage. Where are the other IRST sensors mounted?

101ks-0 is the ldircm modules of the su-57. It says there it’s similar in function to 101-ks b (v in english) , which is the su-57 irst mounted in the nose. It says functions similar to the irst + blinding of missiles.

Here 101-ks v

Since HARM missiles were said to be coming in 2026, could we possibly see…

AFAIK ot doesn’t actually interface with plane. They put Raspberry Pi inside the pylon to imitate western avionics fir blind launch.

Oh No are we talking about the mi28 shield

i dont think gaijin is goofy enough to make it work like they do on helis, probably going to affect only non IR/UV/Imaging missiles

Because we want downtiers to be even more unfair than they are currently

we are already hella compressed, i highly doubt we’ll see that level of compression, when next gen IR missiles come all the 4.5 we have right now will also get them, so they will naturally go up

Because this never happened before, right?

We get 14.7 when 5th gen arrive guys trust

I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest

i feel like kh31s would be better in game (cus its faster).

Yeah but it’d be funnier.

Depends on the variant, agm88 vs e is a big jump, and also depends at the range at which the missiles are fired. Kh31 needs some time to accelerate.

they have an initial booster + ramjet eng. idk if they will add mmw guidance to agm88E in game if they do then yea other wise kh31 will probably be better in terms of speed n maybe range.

Yeah it’s why say this, the booster will likely have it go pretty fast but at best it matches the agm88 in speed, so if gaijin allows us to shoot these missiles from 20km out kh31p will have faster speed because that’s enough speed for the ramjet to at least engage but under that it’s pretty much useless.

5th gen with how multipath currently works doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe if they increased the angle from top down shots where multipathing is less effective, otherwise Rafales and Eurofighters will just hug the deck and force a dogfight
