it only gets mentioned that there is a better seeker for the 27T/ET but never any specifics like its name or stats

Found interesting quote about R-27A on one of the DCS forums. it was completed in development with China money, bought by China in limited quantity and used later in development of SD-10/PL-12 missile. I wonder if there is any proof for this somewhere in the internet

Nah, k-27a died a long time ago. Seekers were made yes and was test fired but none were put serial production
Notice how it only says k-27a and not r-27a. The project was cancelled was not completed.
The seekerhead existed and even upgraded ones that were meant to be used for the eventual k-27ea materialized but was never tested
Well, if it was private Chinese order, info might only exist in internal documentation of manufacturing plant or design bureau.
