Does Su-35 even have RAM coating?
yes
How else did they reduce the RCS by 10 times?
composites, like the one for compressor blades that i saw a few times on the news here, there are options.
AFAIK, Russia use composites only in Mig-35 and Su-57.
Russia is not keen on giving any specifics about what they use and where they use, and i am talking as a person that lives in said Russia. There are plenty of photos from production lines but i have zero clue how to differentiate composite from non-composite.
The primer color, most likely. But I have my doubts about this method, since the F-15EX uses both green and yellow. The yellow is most likely zinc chromate, and the green… Well, that’s also an anti-corrosion primer for aluminum, but why they use a zinc-containing primer and not one is a question.
true, all aircraft with RAM have a massive increase in weight, imagine a plane the size of the flanker, does anyone know if the SM2 will also have RAM?
lmao for real
“allegedly”
Now I wish they’d fix their camos
Yep. Apply more salt water.
They did that the last time already
I uh… i actually kinda like the weathered look personally.
Anyone got the link to the original report for the Flanker 3D model? I just wanna see what else is missing.
At least it looks a tiny bit more accurate, I don’t know what the depth of field of the real image under here is, but in WT at least, the IRST still looks as big as a basketball xD
EDIT: front landing gear is definitely inaccurate
I know this video is two weeks old, but did anyone else notice the Russian Knights skin for the base Su-27? (timestamped)
It was a twitch drop reward
I forgot about that.-
