Don’t be surprised if r37m itself hits 30+ gs

theres more to it than sheer kinematic capability, and we’re also discussing starting from the page on the marketing site, afaik 35gs is significant kinematic overkill in the case of the r27 series. for a 8g maneuvering target, its not farfetched to point out there might be other factors limiting it rather than sheer kinematic ability, american’s aim7m’s are also rated for an 8g maneuvering target for example and on another extreme end the mistral is also rated for such targets afaik

edit: do you happen to have the original sources for that page on hand?

thanks

30+ G at mach 5+ is pretty different to 30+ G at mach 2 or 3 though.

30G at hypersonic speed is still making a circle the size of Texas unless it’s also slowing down super fast while pulling that constantly.

That don’t make sense. IF Nothing it would mean that the R-37m would support more G. Because it have to pull more to archive the same 8G to the target.

is there a version of that, that is a bit higher quality?

it has 6 (maw) sensors irl but i think the placement of some sensors are wrong in this pic.

yeah they definitely are wrong. actually it might be pointing through the aircraft
but either way it has full spherical coverage which is nice

su30 mk 503 was used to test irbis. i dont think it tested double racks lol
