I find them to work well especially against Eagles, since they are a really big flying heat signature, but it’s really hard to make them work against aircrafts with MAW’s like maybe Eurofighters and Rafales, they easily have the situational awarness to spot them in time.
R-27ER is a near guaranteed kill they are so hard to chaff and you can almost control them to hit whatever target you want.
R-27ET is also good but falls behind in air RB.
Not always Typhoon can carry 2- 3 storm shadows at 1900kg a piece, Meteor weighs 150kg its not a weight concern it is a design ethos. Meteors and ASRAAMs PK is so good they dont need to carry more missiles.
And Russia also never operate with 14 missiles its inefficient and overkill even in a warzone they do not carry that many.
more of the point that it’s more massive, hence more hard points
Have they been combat tested to speak of their effectiveness?
On SU-27 I do much better than on EF.
The argument was about the radars, and the Captor is superior to the N001
In not being used?
Haha.
I just started playing F-15E.
By the time it was spaded I was already doing better than I did in the British post nerf Eurofighter, which was spaded when I started to play it after the nerf.
Personally I think Eurofighter in it’s current state is trash.
I would have better results with the base SU-27.
Wether in War Thunder CAPTOR-M is superior to N001 on paper matters very little at the end of the day considering the options SU-27 has with it’s weaponry.
CAPTOR-M seemingly ends up high on Spaghetti code more often as well.
ASRAAM, yes.
It has been used in ukraine in its surface launched configuration.
Meteor? No, not that we are aware of.
That said in game, the eurofighters radar is top tier garbage and it will fail to ping an enemy about 50% of the time.
It’s better on paper but in game it really just fails to detect or maintain track of any kind of target very often. So much so that using TWS at long range often results in AMRAAMs failing to find their target.
This is improved slightly by using the narrow sweep setting which highly limits your effectiveness.
Even at very close range, the radar will regularly fail to detect enemies for several seconds.
This means you are almost entirely reliant on visual detection and using ACM.
I my experience, The SU27SM radar is better at detecting enemies at close range, and the SU30 radar is by far the best radar I have ever used.
But I’m talking about planes, but okay. I don’t know how effective it is.
Because gaijin lmao
Su-34 has better radar
That is me clapping Eurofighter in J-11B isn’t it?
I will admit that Eurofighter would hold an advantage against most top tier aircraft 1 on 1.
At least guns only.
Neither matters for air matches.
Eurofighter should be measured on Rafale and that one currently is the best jet in game and would hand Eurofighter it’s nozzles if you catch my drift.
sigma based J11B enjoyer
NO, that is me having to read whatever nonsense u just typed there.
Dear me what an constructive conversation partner you turned out to be.
Ever considered sticking to memes?
I mean, after saying the Eurofighter is trash in it’s current state?
That’s a pretty appropriate response.
The eurofighter is OBJECTIVELY one of the best planes in the game, some may argue even the best, though i think the best one is the Rafail.
Thats why you use the HMD
Granted I’m playing RB. But I really don’t see what would make that much of a difference in RB.
Unless the RWR comes with IRIS-T, AIM-120D or C-8 I could only envision the speed on the large maps beeing a pleasure but that should not be something that gives you a guaranteed advantage.
