i would rather take the captor than the N001
the Captor is far better than the N001 no matter how you look at it

Yeah the captor is better no doubt on that, what I meant is that the advantage isn’t as big as, for example, a PESA compared to a mechanical scanned radar.
But yes, the Captor is the better radar here, you at least get access to norrower scan patterns which can help.
Captor M range:
MPRF: 80km @ RCS 5.0, Max 150km
HPRF: 150km @ RCS 5.0, Max 200km
N001 range:
MPRF: 40km @ RCS 3.0, Max 50km
HPRF: 80km @ RCS 3.0, Max 100km
What is this supoosed to mean?
target detection ranges for both the captor and N001
MPRF are the normal search modes and
HPRF are HDN modes
Sigma ronaldo always comes in clutch❤
And RCS is the radar cross section of the target that the ranges are specified against
Max range is the max range against any target (I.e. even a target with a very high RCS)
Flankers being larger aircrafts have larger RCS, which makes them detectable at (slightly) longer ranges …

Refresh my memory please. I can’t look it up right now. What options does the Typhoon have for cycling between different radar scan patterns?
Oh man, now I’m getting flashbacks to the Flanker’s early days before it received several rounds of buffs. Back when the radar took 8 seconds to complete a sweep and ACM range was half NATO’s. The dark days when flanker pilots were desperately turning to things like trying to use IRST to more reliably setup their radar locks, and people could just fly at 90m to bamboozle any SARH.
That plus when the HMS gets stuck and won’t let you switch or turn it off for a few seconds.
Still in devlopment, literally barely any info on it, only seen on su57.
R77-1 IS aim120c5 contemporary irl, but in game it has stupid amounts of drag, I could see reducing its drag drastically when they add aim120c5
Other missile that su35 could get is r37m, but it is TOO OP for now
It will pretty much be a slightly longer range Fakour-90 …
Unless they change something, you should be able to notch it just like the current missiles …
This will be the Kh-38 in the world of air-to-air missiles.
I mean, to be frank, it will be just 2 Fakur-90 with much greater range and at best 2 kills before people just start do the same thing they already did since the introduction of Phoenixes.
Still, dont think we need it yet. Just fixing drag issues on R-77-1 would be enough. Worst case scenario? Just start grinding China for the actually decent BVR missile (PL-12)
The range will be much greater, other than that, it is rated to hit the the targets pulling same Gs as r27. Other than that is has a dual pulse motor, hence having a large practical range. It will be mostly unavoidable by turning post 5km. Other than that seeker is much better than pheonix/fakour with a 2 way datalink, however, i believe its still a mechanical seeker, not a ESA
…as pretty much every other radar missile outside of specific conditions (antipod and notching with active shafing)? Well, except R-77 ofc
That tends to happen when an aircraft is close to 50% heavier and you know, bigger
They are not over rated in 14.0, ETs at least are pretty sick, cause it gets people unaware just chaffing and notching. They are really annoying when combined with ARH missiles.
My point was you can outturn a fakour/aim54 even if they have energy, but not r37m
I find them to work well especially against Eagles, since they are a really big flying heat signature, but it’s really hard to make them work against aircrafts with MAW’s like maybe Eurofighters and Rafales, they easily have the situational awarness to spot them in time.
