Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

IMO New variant of the EFT with MK1 radar would be extremally OP… Even better if gaijin decide to ADD new missile like IRIST or Meteor. Rafale idk. The current Rafale its really strong because its also the lighter variant of the jet. I’ve see img of R F4 is two seaters so that its a bit heavier. F5 its a new thing for 2030? and Of course they have better missile too.

In other hands is still unknow what the “New” variant of the Su-35s will offer. And its almost imposible to knew what Newer missile they’re current using. K/R-77M info its Unknow aside from having around 160km range. What its the new IR missile the are they using and what capability it have? R-74? R-74M?

Just look at that new Thread about Kh-38MT. Just because there its not video/img that said THIS is the missile. With a 100 zoom on the Seeker people is saying it don’t exist. And don’t forget the Warehouse with 9999999999 Kh-38MT in storage. Implying Russia can’t make IR seeker. While izd.305 aka Kh-39 Lmur its being use a lot in the War. With a seeker that its more complicate that the 38MT should even have.

Kibhiny pod… Wonder why the Su-30sm don’t have these Flare/Chaff thing like su-35s.
flare sting

same for the Su-34

i think that would be r-73M or r-74
from my undestanding they are basically the same missile besides the r-74 being for internal carry in the su-57

because the su-30sm is just a slighly modified version of the Su-30MKI which already was a thing in the late 90tys/ early 2000s

and iirc development on the Su-35S started in 2003 and was unveiled in 2007, so a few years after the su-30mki went into service

KH-38 exists it just cannot do what it does in game.
LMUR is not an IR guidance system

Rostec further emphasized that the LMUR can be deployed in several operational modes. In “fire-and-forget” mode, the missile’s homing system locks onto the target while still mounted on the helicopter, allowing it to autonomously fly to its destination once launched.

No mention of being able to track and hit a moving target. In FNF mode

In another mode, the missile is guided remotely. It’s first launched using coordinates, flying initially in inertial mode. As it approaches the target, the homing system activates, transmitting the target image back to the helicopter operator’s screen. This allows the operator to identify and lock onto the specific target before the missile strikes.

A third operational mode involves launching the missile in inertial mode, with approximate target coordinates pre-programmed. Several kilometers before reaching its expected destination, the missile’s homing system transmits a live image of the terrain back to the helicopter operator, who can then refine the target identification. Once the target is identified, the LMUR locks onto it and completes the strike.

This is Russias brand new missile.

It would seem like HAMER these missile systems cannot track and hit a moving vehicle without final guidance from an operator as neither system uses Mmw.

I would bet KH-38M IR version is exactly the same and requiring a man in the loop to switch to SAL mode to guide the missile for a moving target.

R-77M does exist it is being tested and it will give Russia similar performance to the 120D and PL-15

that dosent mean it cant hit moving target tho?

i know about the whole AASM debate but i dont think that just because a missile isnt explicedly stated to be able to hit a moving target, dosent mean it isnt able to

and in the case of the Hammer we have documentation explaining how it works and showing that it isnt able to hit mobile targets

Agreed but it also doesnt say it can.
I think Gaijin has been playing it pretty losely by not understanding how these systems work.

As an example in testing Brimstone was comfirmed to be able to hit a target travelling at 70kph
These were tests carried out by the US to evaluate Brimstone for USN and US Army use.

Spoiler

That is guessing and you don’t know. Russian and French company’s worked together on that Time frame. Like in the Ramjet version of the R-77. But just because the French hammer can’t do what it do in game. Its not enough said the same about 38MT. When French are not even involved on it.

LMUR its IR Guidance System. There are a bunch of video of it working. Its more complicated because it can change target on the fly. Like Spike missile. I’ve see videos of it Tracking moving Infantry vehicles just to change target to bridge in front of it.

Anyway. The point its that its really hard to get info on Russia Stuff.

first result on “US military report on MiG-25”

it really isnt that hard

Best jet doesnt mean most fun jet. I hate playing the Rafale atm, its incredibly boring cuz if you put genuine effort into glying it there isnt much anyone else can do against you

1700057884471921

While i do fine that to be true. Current Rafale its the only jet that let you do thing like… The whole “Action” part on this video. Rafale… From OP to UNMATCHED!

do you want more?

I think they mean russian sourced ones. Like entire unclassified manuals that are only slightly outdated instead of completely outdated

Does anyone have some data on the AL-41s? Maybe a chart comparing them to the 31s.

I heard someone say the SM2 accelerates like an F-15E, which I doubt. But I don’t really have any figures on the AL-41.

mmm. I remember something like that on Su-35s Art. on Key Aereo.

well tbf this isnt Russian but for Germans, and is from 2001

You mean comparable acceleration to a Strike Eagle?

Yeah and that’s for the MiG-29 9.12A. I have the same one on my pc

I’d love to have a manual for the SMT or M though or the 27SMx

Heck even manual for the 30MKI would be nice too

I’d believe that for the 35, much less so on the 30SM2 tho.

that isnt the complete one lmao
