The requirements were for the original typhoon 20-25 degrees AOA.
Typhoon is still underperforming in many areas.

F-22 has lost to a Typhoon and Rafale in WVR.
You can guarantee like the F-22 it won more than it lost. Su-30 isn’t close to a 22 in WVR.
These maneuvers aren’t possible ingame with the su-27S, canard flanker is another history

They dont in the one circle the Su-27SM can turn harder and has more thrust. Gripen looses energy at an alarming rate.
Add the R-73 and the Gripen struggles go and try it.
Typhoon and Rafale are closer, the 27 still has the edge with instantaneous turn.
again, idk if you are joking or being serious, r73 do 90% of the job for the flanker cause without the r73, the gripen, ef and rafale smokes the su27 9 out of 10 times in any possible way.

SU-27 pulls hard and can whip the nose around fast.
i respectfully disagree, it can have the advantage initally but there’s no way current gripen loses more energy than the flanker. There’s no way it can be defeated after the su-27 misses the first opportunities, R-73 is also not an aim9x impossible to avoid even more if you have 600+ CMs… Just pre flare and you’ll be fine, after some time the sukhoi won’t have enough angle to make a decent shot and it’ll be very easy to get its ass.

if you are trying to win some duel merging at mach 1+ then thats just crazy, but even at that speed, if you avoid the su27 guns or r73 (by just pre flaring btw) you will beat the flanker very easily, for the su27 to -whipe the nose around- and beat the ef, the rafale or even the gripen, you gotta put full reall a pull almost all AoA that you have, and that will leave you at like 300km/h at best, so again, are u just trolling rn or what?
why don’t you put half 300 each you probably won’t use even close to that number, russian fighters have less than 100 and do just fine avoiding these missiles

None of the above detracts from a later-model Flanker being a potent adversary WVR - however I would not rely on the Indian Air Force for a balanced view of it’s capabilities.
Russian fighters dont have to use BOL pods which are far less effective they have large countermeasures.
You can drop 2-5 chaff and fool that missile…BOL pods it’s way more
my guy the flanker has 48 chaff and 48 flares if you carry mixed, It’s not possible that you’re complaining about the -lack- of countermeasures while flying the damn gripen

Man i’m sorry but you really don’t know what you’re talking about, seriously, there’s no way it’s better to have 98 large CMs over 600 regular lol. To defeat the r73 is quite simple, don’t let them launch on your rear at less than 2km, put automatic CMs if you somehow involve yourself in a dogfight at air rb and just play along, eventually you’ll get the su-27 tail. I’m really surprised someone thinks the su-27 is better than the gripen in the game and prefers 98 large CMs over 600 regular ones…
I’m sorry but this is just a pure skill issue if you are losing to the flanker with the gripen.

Honestly, it would partially solve the problem of the low number of countermeasures on Soviet aircraft already from tier V.
