Not anymore the one circle the Gripen would have the Su-27 now even if they merge fast the Su-27 is turning as fast as the Gripen.
Yeah lower Brs the Gripens are good, tried to merge with a Rafale…that didnt go well
In the long run you should be able to gun it down tho, flanker still isn’t as good as other 4th gen for 2C (as expected)

You know how it is you go vertical and you die to the guys team mate, the new engines definitely make the flanker stronger
Well yeah it made the SM better but i’d say the difference is kinda negligible, the SM is also heavier than the regular flanker
Yes, when you 1v2 the enemy you can get caught out.
Ironically the reason the CAPTOR-M underperforms is the same reason the Su-27SM radar is more garbage than it is in real life.
It’s more physics than common sense, aerodynamic parameters (aka Cl/CD polars) are only determined by shape and nothing else.
Because it didn’t need it until the last two updates where balance went all over the place with the F-15E.
The last time Russia was the best top tier nation is summer 2023 with MiG-29+R-27ER meta.

Still one can do so much with gaijin bug reports, I got pretty pissed after they answered in 100 different bs ways to an F-16A report (that made me lose a few hours of time) just to get in the end: “We don’t adjust low speed turn rate”

I think we all just want to see these machines perform how they should, hopefully Gaijin gets to them all.
I’m not huge on Russian aviation how much of an upgrade would the Su-35 be and is that the next logical step?

Doubt it, it was leaked that they were working on the Su-30SM.
Well it would carry the powerful irbis e radar and it would have better engines with TVC… It would be too much for the game, next step will be the leaked su-30sm with the bars radar like somebody said, maybe with TVC aswell but i’m not certain

Su-30SM is probably going to be the next step. I’d prefer if we got what were the true equivalents design wise to the F-15C/E and F-16C/Gripen (aka Su-27M and MiG-29M). But people seem to want the 30sm more

Have to agree with them, great looking plane.
Unfortunately i notice that fulcrum doesn’t have many fans, if only the soviets didn’t send monkey models to die in iraq…
Right now it’s the perfect timeframe for the mig-29m, it would be able to face these delta canards in wvr and would be pretty decent at bvr, they could even revise the old fulcrum and improve them a bit, maybe touch the instructor a lil bit.

imho it’s pretty ugly lol, the canopy is too high and big. The two I listed above are much better looking imho. Still anyone has their taste, what I’m worried about is that, since I sincerely hope we won’t skip straight to 30SM2, I think 30SM1 might be a downgrade overall compared to the Su-27SM flight performance wise. Weight is a lot higher and engines are pretty much comparable.
I wouldn’t worry about the Radar Gaijin haven’t cracked a PESA/AESA Radars yet.
Su-30SM double seater isn’t it does it carry more missiles or is it just a better radar and better ground strike options?
Reports are underway to fix the Rafale, AESA is currently in-game on two aircraft and PESA on the Su-34.

that its a lot of copium… Playing the SM right now for the event and its pure pain. Radar still trash it don’t lock for whatever reason. R77 feel even worst ATM. Literally countless of time today i have hard radar lock and somehow the R77 seeker just won’t lock and don’t even talk that now it can`t even kill people inside the 9km. Or R73… Some people where saying that they fixed the Thrust vectoring problem. But for me its the same.
I grinded the rafale. While i did have some problem with the Suppose AESA radar. That thing its like heaven and while Mica aren’t Aim120 i still get kill at range with them.
It would be competitive and be better than the 27SM since at high speed it has around the same thrust to weight as the eurofighter and a good radar, but it’s pretty limited compared to the EFT itself. It has much less countermeasures, thrust to weight is markedly lower at lower speeds and while great the airframe itself is just not comparable to the EFT.
Right patch for it to be meta was the J-10 one.
I wish i could enjoy early 4th gen era a bit more man, they are rushing stuff too fast, even the f18 got out of the party.
