USSR air is nowhere near as bad as USA ground. Also USSR air still gets to play with US jets on their team
Ground sucks overall, the gamemode didn’t follow the tech evolution, it’s even more outdated than air rb.
I remember playing ground rb 2 years ago dominating everyone with the mig27k/ka-50 combo, but that was even before the spaa nerf, now ppl have worse stuff to deal with more powerful aircraft.
Gripen is like the annoying kid brother. Su-35, EFT, Rafale… the big three.
I wonder if it can carry 4 FAB-500 UMPKs or 6 pylons like the Grom-2? I’ve only seen it carrying 4 under the wings in real life.
We will soon see. I hope that Su-24M will get them as well.

Why would you want to, the Grom-2’s are better in every way to the FAB-500’s. The real question is if the FAB-3000M-54 will be able to one tap a base. It’ll be the first bomb of its TNTe added to the game, the bomb closest above it does kill a base in 1 drop, the bomb closest below it doesn’t, and its right about dead center of the two in TNTe.
Top tier bases have ~25900 health and this bomb has 24236 damage, but bases can bleed down to death if they’re too close, and I’m not sure if ~1700hp is in the bleed zone or not.
Why would you want to, the Grom-2’s are better in every way to the FAB-500’s.
For people stock grind, FAB-500 UMPK might be a tier 1 or 2 modification, while the Grom-2 could remain a tier 3 or possibly be moved to tier 4.

In ARB, it won’t have as strong of a use-case, but in GRB, with the new target designation mechanics, it will be good for targeting spawns where SPAA hangout, and if needed, good for clearing caps where there’s one cap or one cap per team.
It will probably be very interceptable, I’m interested to see what kind of mechanics can be used to drop it from high up, and how it will coast to the target.
The FAB-500T-UMPK’s seem to be TV guided, if so, that’s a big deal too.
