Probably yes, Russia started replacing OG su34s with the new ones in 2020 and seems kinda dumb to spend a shit ton of money improving the vehicle while not giving such an essential thing like thermals.

I’ll make some research to be sure.

Thank you, i tried myself but to no avail, was asking if any1 knew anything about this, since i really would like seing the su-34M in the game, since its just a middleground between AIR RB and GROUND RB, not being better than the best in eithe category, except fo carying the most ammount of kh-38’s.
But i guess it would be to op rn, but for a future update!

Guys, can someone check what engines with what thrust the Su-34 has on the dev?
Also, @BBCRF, @ID_Heaven, or anybody else, do you know if the Su-27SM has ever flown in the Russian Air Force (in service, not just testing) with AL-31FM1? Or are all of them stuck with the AL-31F?
I have been seeing some sources stating that AL-31FM1 was installed on the Su-27SM and Su-34. Apparently, it does not require any modifications to be installed on the Su-27 airframe (if the airframe used to have the basic AL-31F) and there were plans for it to be installed on the Su-27SM, Su-27SM3, and Su-34.

For anyone that does not know, the AL-31FM1 has a thrust of 13500 kgf, compared to the 12500 of the AL-31F that originally installed on the Su-27S. An improvement of +1000 kgf / +8%. It also has a slightly lower fuel consumption.

Do you know which journal/book this is from?

Export brochure states usual 31F for Su-34

IIRC “Взлёт” picture was sent by Fantom2451 on ru-forum

Yeah, but the variant is the Su-34E. Also, the M1 should be easily swappable with the usual 31F, so it could be that they want to keep the M1 for themselves and export the basic version.
The brochure could be inaccurate. Or maybe it does indeed fly just with 31F.

Thx, will try looking for it.

Found it for you

Also UAC site. It’s archive copy because i cannot open it.

Awesome, this one actually directly states that 8 SM’s were equipped with the M1, has a date, and even names the base.
Do you know if _Fantom2451_ is present on this forum, or did he transition his account? I wanted to @ him, but his name does not show up.

Fantom, you were the best of us.
