what mod are you using for the AB?
Unfortunately it’s not a custom afterburner, since after firebirds the lenght and color of flame can no longer be changed. The purple-ish color is just some slight post production I did :)

Does anyone know why we can only still equip 2x R-27ET’s? Did they really not expand the carrying capacity of these missiles except for on the Yak-141? Whats up with that.

Probably just no documentation to support pylons with coolant on the other hard points
IIRC it because only two pylons are specially air cooled to allow 27T to be mounted
The su35 is able to mount 4 r27et
I wish i had enough time to research that thing in one day or so, unfortunately i think i’ll only be able to fly it on the next month, not to mention the spading saga…

Su-30 needs it’s missile payload halved it should be similar to the J-11
Fed up of having to defend against 6 plus missiles every time you face a Su-30.

Kind of hilarious seeing this after AIM-120 was dominating since intro and is still a better missile up until this day

Definitely worth the grind, gotta stay more on the defensive with it but its got a really nice kill consistency :D
Gameplay wise it created imbalance.
There is no reason why a Su-30Sm needs 14 missiles.

If I face a Su-30 he has double the ARHM I have and a superior short range missile in the R-73.
Players are flying in and firing off 5/6 missiles at close range to guarantee the kill.
No other nation can do this.
When they add the Su-35 if it has 14 missiles nothing else will stand a chance
I would swap 6 120s for 10 or 12 R-77,

Not if you are Russian, we are entering the same arguments we have in ground battles when they added the Ka-50…give it a realistic load and it dominated. Sometimes we need to make decisions for gameplay balance.

Would you accept if Typhoon had 6 Meteors (like it should) vs the 12 R-77-1 you have?
If it was the sm2 then yeah i’d agree that it would be pretty good, but with that crap engine? Cmon dude. With the f15e which can go at absurd speeds and rain missiles like meteors and rafale with its absurd FM + radar the su-30sm would be the last plane that i’d consider OP in top tier lol.

Like the old days when Phantom players were throwing a fit that the MiG-21bis could carry 6 R-60’s, nevermind that were only R-60’s.

I didn’t say OP I said it has too many missiles.
The problem with that is players will shoot off 5 missiles to kill a single jet. No other jet can do that we all have to think about the chance of missile shots hitting the Su-30Sm players do not.
