So i came here because yall are really knowledgeable on sukhois i need tips for stock grinding Su30 please am 15 battles in and i keep dieing before making any score
So far they’re only modeling datalink for aircrafts that can show friendlies on the their HMD.
And only friendlies are shown (no target sharing), and only on the HMD. And it’s not modeled as a proper datalink (there are no emissions), but rather works automagically.
Because the Schmehl-3 is only an HMS instead of an actual HMD. It has datalink irl, but it does not transmit to the helmet, because well, it’s not an HMD
The stock grind its really hard. Until you get R-77-1. Watch this maybe it can help you. You Don’t Need Anything More Or Anything Less, It’s Perfect!
The FM suck. IMO.
why is it Mig-15 instead of MiG-15
it isnt your personal opinion, it is a fact
does it really matter at the end?
These are usually limitations in operation!..
For example,
according to the memoirs of American pilots, we know that they accelerated the MiG-23MS at low altitude to 1.6 M (it had restrictions on heating the cockpit canopy at a speed of more than 1.7 M, the glass of the cockpit canopy of the MiG-23MS turned into a jelly-like state)…
For the MiG-23ML, this is so…
Spoiler
- The limiting characteristics of the Soviet/Russian aircraft can be found only from the document “Test Report” which is not publicly available!..
It doesn’t matter. It’s the same for all nations.
It’s not like other countries’ aircrafts explode when they go over their Vne.
And Gaijin applies a multiplier to account for the safety margins that those figures include …
While one country/company could be more conservative than another and apply bigger safety margins, you would need to have documents to prove that on a case-by-case basis (and even then I’m not sure if Gaijin would take that into account).
Otherwise, it’s the same for everyone … You take what the manufacturer says and apply the margin that is applied for all aircrafts in the game …
These doc are what we need. Sadly.
I do not know what is in the game!..I don’t play planes!..
But I know that the MiG-23 can reach speeds of 1.6 M near the ground and 2.6 M at an altitude of 11 kilometers!..
On the Sukhoi website, the figures for the Su-30MKI are the same as for the Su-30SM in the brochure (1350 km/h),for the Su-27UBK_1400 km/h…
So for the Su-30SM/ MKI, these are most likely strength limitations and have nothing to do with which aircraft is newer or more advanced… ПАО "Компания “Сухой” - Самолеты - Военная авиация - Су-30МК - ЛТХ
- So the figure of 1400 km/ h for the Su-34 is quite real (or at least 1350 km/h)…
I have already posted this photo for the Su-27SK here…(Literally in the text_1400 km/h (strength limit), 2.35M (cabin window glazing limit)…
As I have said before, even if we assume that the 1100 kph figures for the Su-34 or 1350 kph for Su-30SM are due to structural limit, it won’t make it any better.
I left it Gaijin to interpret whether those figures are the maximum speed that the aircraft can reach or the structural limit …
BTW, I’m surprised you bother to talk about planes if you don’t play them …
Afraid of height or afraid of leaking tactics / developing bad habits? :)
Not interesting!. I spent 90% of the battles on airplanes in 2014-2015, when there were Historical battles… I-15/I-16 against Bf-109/Fw-190., I-15 not every bomber caught up in speed…
Now sometimes when tanks get bored on bombers I fly 1-3 ranks…
Mig 23 cannot reach Mach 1.6 near the ground that’s pure fantasy

It is guided by GPS only ingame. GPS ingame is 100% accurate. IOG will make 0 effect. We don’t have ECM to jam GPS ingame.
In the game bombs that have IOG+GNSS guidance get the ability to track moving targets, if you lock the target with your targeting pod before you drop the bomb, and as long as the target keeps moving in the same direction and with the same speed.
I don’t think that’s how IOG works on a GPS bomb
Edit: okay I tested it on my Kfir, it does work like that in game LOL
In the game that’s how it works.
But all bombs that have IOG+GNSS, also have Laser guidance, but the laser guidance doesn’t actually play a role as you don’t need to turn on the laser to do what I described above:
In the game bombs that have IOG+GNSS guidance get the ability to track moving targets, if you lock the target with your targeting pod before you drop the bomb, and as long as the target keeps moving in the same direction and with the same speed.
In reality the inertial guidance is to smooth out the tracking between GPS updates.
