We will soon see. I hope that Su-24M will get them as well.
where did you see this?
Why would you want to, the Grom-2’s are better in every way to the FAB-500’s. The real question is if the FAB-3000M-54 will be able to one tap a base. It’ll be the first bomb of its TNTe added to the game, the bomb closest above it does kill a base in 1 drop, the bomb closest below it doesn’t, and its right about dead center of the two in TNTe.
Top tier bases have ~25900 health and this bomb has 24236 damage, but bases can bleed down to death if they’re too close, and I’m not sure if ~1700hp is in the bleed zone or not.
Why would you want to, the Grom-2’s are better in every way to the FAB-500’s.
For people stock grind, FAB-500 UMPK might be a tier 1 or 2 modification, while the Grom-2 could remain a tier 3 or possibly be moved to tier 4.
ooooh good point.
I’m actually kinda excited for the fab 3000 lol
I’ve seen it on some videos. Some people think it may just be temporary. I hope not.
In ARB, it won’t have as strong of a use-case, but in GRB, with the new target designation mechanics, it will be good for targeting spawns where SPAA hangout, and if needed, good for clearing caps where there’s one cap or one cap per team.
It will probably be very interceptable, I’m interested to see what kind of mechanics can be used to drop it from high up, and how it will coast to the target.
The FAB-500T-UMPK’s seem to be TV guided, if so, that’s a big deal too.
That’d be nice, i love the su-24
I tested it on DEV server and I was able to 1 shot a base on Golan Heights (Airspawn).
Im more interested in its impact on sim air.
My real concern is, is this one of those things that u just chuck at the spawn from 15km out and will just kill all the SPAAs and there is not much they can do about u. (GRB) KH38 is already broken, having another thing will just make it a bit of a nightmare.
Im sorry are you trying to say that cutting edge fighters cant do what fighters were doing 70 years ago?
Thats a valid concern, though the thing is slow and easy to see/kill.
This issue could also be rectified by gaijin not shrinking every dang ground map we have in-game to accommodate the drug induced children that now make up most of top tier trying to 360 no scope with their premium tanks bought using their little sisters chemo money in a 500x500m map because they cant stand the idea of being alone with their thoughts. If maps were large enough for SPAA to actually leave spawn and not immediately get shot, they might do it more often… A lot of my old SAM sites are now out of bound or have been reworked not to exist anymore after continuous map size reductions by gaijin to placate the community.
GRB needs to be reworked asap
I agree, SAMs are also subject to being outranged by KH38 as well which leads to huge issues as FAB3000 will allow the spawn to be cleared and then the advantage of range could be further stressed. I am sort of grumpy about GRB RN cause I play CN, which has no capable CAS and also will get supressed by AMRAAMs if I so want to go CAP, against F15Es it is not gonna end well. Similar positions for SU34 so there is somewhat of a balance, but after all, a lot more decompression needed.
On a completely unrelated note, anyone else seen the new SU57 2D TVC?
The Lightning could only do 1 or 1.1 mach outside of arctic conditions according to the chart and not efficiently. The Typhoons engine is not well suited for supercruise by design, the M88 is slightly better, F119 is the best suited of non-variable bypass designs.
Not sure why you’re bringing that up here though, the first sukhoi with supercruise was Su-35 with the variable bypass AL-41. They are a generation ahead of Europe on engine design.
Su-35S moment
Still could 70 years ago, you’re doing some serious mental gymnastics to claim fighters now can’t do the same at bare minimum
