BOL is a nato western countermeasure system why would a Russian aircraft have BOL?
So Russia stuck with 96 cms
He probably meant a similar system on which you could install more CMs

What does the Su-33 even offer over the current Su-27SM ingame?
All I can think in terms of improvements of are canards, slightly larger wings, x2 additional R-27 slots and… nothing else. It’s kinda a downgrade overall and at best a sidegrade for top tier no?

SU-33 is a lovely addition especially since it should not be ate the absolute top BR.
Both SU-27 we have in game currently are great fun.
My biggest issue these days are friendlies not minding their missiles.
It’s exactly that, it has a slightly improved engine but it’s insignificant, it’ll never make up for the 4 ton weight increase.

It can potentionaly have S-8PM chaffs what is additional 80 chaffs (20 per B-8M).

Correct me if i am wrong but the Su-33 not only has less countermeasures but also moves them to a different location right?
48 cm without S-8PM (which are not in game - +80 chaffs). Probably in naval line.

Su-33 can be equipped with Zhuk-ITU radar with 85 degree gimbal range, same radar as MiG-29SMT.
In theory, it is possible to use R-77 on this airframe if it was provided the upgrade.
