I think if you master the EFT and get used to its crap radar you can do better with it than with the 30SM, but honestly i don’t have enough patience for that lol. I have the F-15E but only played two matches with it so i also can’t opine 100% about the plane, but i expect it to be also pretty good considering it’s basically a busted f-15c.
In terms of ability not of random player stats.
I personally like both equally, Rafale has the ludicrous acceleration and retention, better short range missile and HMD with IFF. SU30 has more varied missile-kit, 6 more missiles and a much nicer radar imo.
It really depends what you value in a fighter, and the skill level of both pilots
I played all 3 Eurofighters and Rafale after Storm Warning. Rafale did better from the start. Now Rafale does even better while Eurofighter is doing worse.
SU-30 and Rafale are the crown jewels right now.
both radars are pretty much equal imo, especially after they added TWS ESA
and you might be able to argue that the rafale one is better because of the higher gimbal limits
I’d take SU30 radar over Rafale any day, but I’d also take Rafale’s radar over pretty much any other radar in-game too. SU30’s is just much faster/more convenient scan areas for my playstyle.
They are rather evenly matched at the moment both with their advantages and disadvantages.

Well, it’s why I said “imo”, I know others might prefer Rafale’s radar. But for the Afghanistan mountain gameplay - where whoever finds the other person first has the advantage, the SU30 is much better suited in my experience. You know roughly what attitude your enemy will appear from, you just don’t know where
Rafales “smallest” vertical scan box is 16°, pretty huge. And the 31° is just unnecessary. They are good for BVR lapping at high altitude, as they’re covering a large area beneath you though.
When emerging from a mountain, I like having a wide, but somewhat narrow scan box, as I won’t know exactly where the enemy might appear from. SU30’s 80°x7° one is perfect for this. And it does the full scan in only 1.5 seconds. Rafale’s equivalent to this is its 70°x16° scan box, which takes 3.75 seconds to complete, more than twice as slow. The only “faster” mode of the Rafale is the 30°x16° one, which is more than half as wide and still has the unnecessary tall vertical area, and is roughly as fast as SU30’s 80°x7° one.
Unless you know within a 30° margin of where your opponent will appear, SU30’s will always be twice as fast as Rafale’s radar picking people up, disregarding the imo unnecessary scan height. If you know within 30°, SU30’s will still be as fast, if not slightly faster.
Slash Rafales scan heights in half, don’t even touch the “scan speed” and it’ll beat SU30’s imo

Once they add the 35 ppl won’t have anything to complain about tbh, more powerful engines and irbis will make that plane a monster.

Yep the Su-35 should definitely be a beast.
I personally like the Su-30 more all around, so this is mainly why I hope we’ll also see the SM2.
Su-35 features on my favorite platform, can’t get better than that :D

Rafale radar its way better. It also don’t have the problem of locking itself looking down like Bars do. That its a pain on the ASS if you try to fly at mid alt. The moment that multiples enemys coming at you. Beyond 20km. You’re fucked if the radar pick the guys flying lower.
Having more manual control over the radar would help. But the “Reset” buttons just don’t work. Something switching mode some time help. But not always.

Gdagahagshahhahahah. Yeah. Above average su-30 will definitely eat average f-16, because nafoids can’t play. But there’s nothing that this degraded bus can do to a skilled player in maneuverable plane which can dodge missiles by simple turning at mach 1.4. Also can some freakin body remind me max Gs which su-30 achieves above mach speed and how fast it loses given speed? :DD
It’s “balanced” in same way that su-27, F-15 and Grippen were balanced back then. If you are skilled enough, you can even rape cretins with r-27 or 9Ms, but nothing more
Your ignorance is noteworthy. Mach 1.4 is no problem for SU-30 while it’s offensive capabilites are likely to just overwhelm F-16.

yea , i feel like su35/newer variants of eft/gripen would be op , simply because of their radar’s azimuth coverage , i dont think the rafale’s azimuth coverage is as good as those. you can notch while still maintaining a lock in the su35/eft/gripen or even go cold (partially).
