Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

Hop in game right now, we will see who can talk, RB-peasant

yeah i just did a fast google xD wiki is not 100%

Cry louder, maybe someone will hear it.

I’m not the one crying the 30SM is bad though?

Same with AL-37FU. From the information i gathered it was ultimately scrapped, but all the work put there resulted in AL-41F-1 engines. Su-37 demontrator had good old AL-31FP, just like Su-30SM

iirc the su37 that crashed was the one that had the al-37FU, so after that they just used the old al-31FP, but ofc, i could be wrong

Take it elsewhere, its derailing the thread at this point

Initial versions had the FP. 37FU wasn’t ready when the Paris Farnborough Airshow happened

i see, so they never even tested the 37FU?

They probably did with internal testing up until it crashed

I wonder if the su37 will make it to WT at some point and what engines gaijin will put on it, lol.
but for now, i’m hoping for this:

Spoiler

Hmm seems like it got the ordinary AL-31 in the latter years of its life.

Su-37 is essentially what I want for the Su-30 without going all in on the avionic upgrades of the Su-35, also it looks cooler than the 35 because of the canards

Not true.

isnt the su37 also lighter compared to the su30sm? tbh i just wanted the su35 engines on the su30sm D: a little bit more of thrust would be awesome

It is

Being a single seater tend to do that

In War Thunder it is a bit more than a gimmick.

TVC is literally one of the biggest gimmick in game. Unless you actually enjoy losing all that energy

Blue/purple-ish flame when? D:

I do not agree. R-27ER is still very useful especially on SU-27SM and older Flankers but R-77-1 is more versatile and safe to use.

SU-30 IS a heavy machine especially if a whole missile arsenal is hanging on it’s pylons.
But that is not an issue.
