Sukhoi Company Su-57 Felon - Russia's Stealth Apex Predator

Can’t have that

It will be artificially nerfed so that the f22 wins against it in a 1v1

Yea 100% that will the case. Levcon? Yea these don’t do anything bro. Better wing loading? No important. All moving Horizontal tail? Good luck aiming with that thing at low speed.

Gaijin will give it Su-30sm FM and call it a day.

They’ll give him the MiG-29 FM. Gaijin: That’s the best we can do.
I simply find it hilarious and ridiculous how all the top tier Russian high-level planes are a flying airbrake that after two turns are flying at 400km/h the only one that is in a better situation is the Su27SM

I will get my hands on some documents pretty soon, which should be able to improve that situation.

But until then it is:
Coping until morale improves

more internal weapon bays photos :D, now i hope we see the 3 r77m in 1 weapon bay image soon…

Are there any reliable numbers for the radar range of the N036? The 400km claim is pure bs. Anyone who knows radar fundamentals knows that no nose radar is close to 400km for a 3m^2 in volume search.

idk the irbis (N035) can detect targets at atleast ~270km so i wouldnt be suprised if a newer radar has more range

Are you sure, this is a new image and every source I’m finding on it is saying it’s the first flying prototype.

It’s old image but newly release

I love two-seater Sukhoi’s. Hope this gets made

This is for cued mode with a FOV of 10x10 degrees, or even 5x5 according to some sources. In a wide scan, it’s only 200km. “The Irbis-E radar station with rotating phased antenna array designed by the V. Tikhomirov Research Institute of Instrumentation provides for the assured detection and acquisition of typical aerial targets at a range of up to 200 km (up to 170 km against ground background), and in a narrower field of view¬ – up to 350-400 km.” Russia has inferior signal processing to the US for example, same goes for electronics. It would not be very realistic for the Russians to have twice the range of US AESA radars that cost several times more and contain much more advanced electronics. Source for range: UAC :: Су-35

apparently Algeria ordered 12 su57

What? The narrow scan mode is 120 degrees horizontally. Where are you getting 10x10 from?
