Are there any reliable numbers for the radar range of the N036? The 400km claim is pure bs. Anyone who knows radar fundamentals knows that no nose radar is close to 400km for a 3m^2 in volume search.
idk the irbis (N035) can detect targets at atleast ~270km so i wouldnt be suprised if a newer radar has more range

Tikhomirov Research Institute of Instrumentation provides for the assured detection and acquisition of typical aerial targets at a range of up to 200 km (up to 170 km against ground background), and in a narrower field of view¬ – up to 350-400 km.” Russia has inferior signal processing to the US for example, same goes for electronics.
