Sukhoi Company Su-57 Felon - Russia's Stealth Apex Predator

S to X bands are a HUE gap in wavelength, there isn’t much of a “made for both” here, as S would negate its advantages to begin with.

X-band radars have relatively shorter wavelengths, larger bands couldn’t care less about serration when it doesn’t have a tangible affect on its reflection.

i think we are talking about different things.

to make myself clear i was talking about sawtooth edges, which wont matter for X band

However for the serrated physical edges, they will matter for x band, but what actually would be right to say, simply angling would be enough, making it serrated would actually make it irregular, giving of diffractions.

the frame itself is angled a bit downwards, other than that

the white stuff seems to be RAM sandwiched in between, this is also supported by the fact this is applied on important exposed joints, where RAM would help.

when its about sawtooth, it will help against creeping waves for relatively longer wavelengths than x band

Why do people who don’t like the Su-57 always come into threads about it to troll or hate. Just leave it to people who actually like it

Cockpit Picture

Thats the Su-75 if i am not wrong

that is the Su-57 HUD
image

but the cockpit is indeed of su75

they have the same cannopy bow and the IRST in the same place

it is safe to assume that the Su-75 has the same cockpit as the Su-57

Is the “Su-75” a real flying aircraft or a mockup? If its a mockup, then its a very good one.

still a mockup till now

When will it start flying

russia dosent intend to use the Su-75 from what i know

it is simply a project for export and would probably be a cheaper alternative to the Su-57

but as it stands there wasnt really any interest in the Su-75 from export customers, so i think that project is on hold

if it starts flying this year do you think it can come for russia in the future as a tech tree veichle?,looks cool that y

I don’t think it will fly in the next 5 years

Russia started producing the Su-57M and there seems to be a Su-57M1 variant in development as well.

On top of that there are export orders for the Su-57

Chances are low that the Su-75 will ever go anywhere

so its another russian pipe dream project, got it

Like I said:
It was intended for export but there was no one interested in it

So they just shelfed it

I mean, when you think about it, the logic behind the Su-57 design is actually pretty good. I mean, just look at it; it’s a sub-1 m² RCS. Include electronic warfare, and you get a pretty good aircraft that most modern radars would struggle to get a lock on, so when you think about it, when the two stealth jets fight each other, it’s more than likely that they might get close enough to use IR missiles or maybe even get into a dogfight.

And I have to say, people that hate the Su-57 don’t really see the purpose of it; they just see, Ahh, it’s worse RCS than the Raptors, so it’s just a bad jet. Based on design clues, I can see the Su-57 isn’t really meant to be like a stealth fighter equal to a Raptor; it’s supposed to fight inside of its air defense bubble. And I know I’m not supposed to talk about it, but in certain happenings in Eastern Europe, you can see the Su-57 doing exactly that.
