Suggestions for Improvement

A couple of areas where I think the Wiki kinda fails currently and I would like to see added

Aircraft:

Currently, Countermeasure counts are not shown, it states that any aircraft has flares, chaff or flares/chaff, but doesnt give a figure of how many, or type. This information would be very useful when comparing aircraft. This should also be included in the aircraft comparison.

Ammo belts for external gun. Currently, Aircraft with internal guns have all available belts listed, but if the gun is external, such as on an aircraft like the Alpha jet or Sea Harrier, then the belts are not visible. This information should be available to view regardless of where the guns are mounted.

RWR / MAWS coverage. Another area of information that would be useful to have is if the FoV of these sensors were available

Radar coverage, again, FoV/FoR isnt visible anywhere on the pages.

Ground:

Main one that coems to mind is the HP/T within the vehicle comparison, this is an important piece of information and it is currently missing from the comparison page. This information should be included.

Naval:

An area that kinda annoys me (and this annoys me kinda everywhere tbh) is the switch between mm in some places and inches in others. So a toggle button on a naval page to toggle figures between mm and inches would be good

All 3:

Choose units of measurement, for example for aircraft: all figures are given in km/h for speed and m for alt, it would be good to have an option to select the desired unit of measurement for these figures, as I personally use neither for in-game figures and it requires constant convertion. Perticuarly for things like flap limits. Same thing for ground vehicles and naval vehicles, it requires convertion to make sense of for someone not use to these figures

These are the main things Id like to see improved about the wiki, but would be interested ot see what other ideas people have for making the wiki better

Instead they invite you to work or volunteer yourself to improve the Wiki by writing down posts in exchange for peanuts or a handful of Golden Eagles to something that can take up to a month to be published not considering the additional hours until the Golden Eagles is credited to the account, which I doubt anyone can make an informative enough post either is just farming or accurately sharing information through well built articles and I doubt someone will look after user’s articles instead of official information from the Wiki.

I’ve stopped to work on new articles, in fact I have three articles—if I’m not wrong—in draft status because I don’t think none of those will in fact give any meaningful information. Returning to the “do it yourself” part of writing said articles, I was thinking about working on articles for guns, initially the 30 mm Bushmaster II Mk 44 to revive that article style on guns that made on the Wiki 2.0 which unfortunately the website is not accessible anymore and web archive is unstable for that specific website for whatever reason I don’t understand.

To conclude the part of articles not being informative, just milking cows for some easy cash and few of them bringing meaningful information, the time that takes to write, research, take photos, edit images, look out for sources and permissions to use some images like I’ve did in my BMD-4M’s article is in my opinion the bare minimum that the Wiki Moderators should be looking after if they’re not going to update the Wiki to properly inform the player about the details and handle this task to volunteer work, which could be done faster if the whole Wiki structure wasn’t botched into what games do with yellow tapes around the map instead of a more technical yet easier to edit that was used with the MediaWiki on the Wiki 2.0.

In short: I doubt that the Wiki as it is will change in the short term.
