I would like to suggest linking the T-90M “Arena” to the T-90M in the Soviet ground forces tech tree instead of making it a completely separate vehicle that requires the full RP cost.
The idea is not to remove the T-90M “Arena” from the game. It would remain a separate vehicle, but it would be placed as a connected vehicle (foldered/linked) under the standard T-90M, similar to how some other variants are grouped in the tech tree.
Why?
The two vehicles are very similar, with the main difference being the Arena Active Protection System.
Requiring players to research another full top-tier MBT for such a similar variant makes the grind unnecessarily long.
Foldering these vehicles would improve progression without affecting gameplay balance.
Players who want the Arena-equipped version would still need to unlock it, but at a reduced RP cost, making the tech tree more consistent and less repetitive.
Benefits
Less unnecessary grind.
More logical organization of similar vehicle variants.
Better consistency with other foldered vehicles in War Thunder.
No impact on matchmaking or vehicle performance.

Great suggestion but they didn’t even folder 72B3 and 72B3A. I don’t think they will folder 90Ms before those two. Even though both could be just simple APS modifications gaijin wants you to go through the grind to get them.
Instead of making them a modification or same vehicle just folder them which alone would make them cheaper to grind and would give you another vehicle for the lineup.
USA, Germany, Britain, France, Sweden, Israel, Japan all of them have folders in rank 8 (China too but it’s anti airs) so why can’t Russia get a folder too? I Mean the tanks are identical you suffice extra armour for an APS, it’s unfair for the Russian TT to not have a folder…
I think it’s less about the rank/BR and more about them being new, I think @Stona_WT or one of the other CM’s mentioned somewhere that things like the T-90M/ArenaM will likely get folded, but they need to be in the game for a certain amount of time.
And practically what’s dose it matter? If it’s folded you research the T-90M then ignore the ArenaM, if it’s not folded you research the T-90M and ignore the ArenaM. It’s not like it’s blocking progression to anything else.
I have done the 100% of the Russian ground TT and making me grind another 420k rp (I am without premium time) for the exact same tank it’s unfair for me, of it was the Object 195 or the T-14 Armata I would gladly grind 600k rp to get them, it’s just my ego that I can’t say I have done the 100% of the ground TT, and I was starting to spade everything but now I have lost my appetite with the Arena…
