The Gripen A should get Aim-120A → 13.7 and the Gripen C should get Aim-120C-5 ->14.0.
Personally i dont think the Fox1s are even meant to be used on it just running the default 6 Aim9Ms grants fine results even with a stock crew its fairly enjoyable. And no i do believe putting it to 14.0 “just because it faces them almost any match anyways” is a very shallow take. The issue that it’ll still only have 4 ARH missiles at 13.7 nevermind 14.0 will leave it outgunned in every matchup, it has nothing that would make it 14.0 worthy, flightperformance - outclassed, missile loadout - outclassed, radar - outclassed, and all of this not in a way where one plane takes one niche, most planes at 14.0 outclass it or are at least on par with it in all of those metrics
How? The Typhoon is the second best performing plane in the game still. It doesn’t need the C-5. It need 1/5 of the attention the rafale gets to fix it’s radar. It really doesn’t need much else.
doing that would be like giving the F15A and F16s Fox3s. Just because 13.0 is in a bad state right now, it does not mean that we should take away the options to play 4th gen airframes without fox3s at lower BRs, me personally i enjoy the F15A or say the Netz more than i do their top tier counterparts simply because i dont enjoy the Fox3 spam playstyle all that much, sure you meet them every few games but its not a constant

I said that because the Gripen A carried them in real life. The US F-15A and F-16A did not.
F16A MLU in the chinese tree did just for example, and just because it did doesnt mean it has to in game especially since the A and C would be identical since again you cant put the C at 14.0, it would by far be the worst 14.0 and drop hard in popularity. If you want a Gripen at 14.0 get a 14.0 worthy Gripen namely the NG or E

The Hornet is already worse than the Gripen C.
Anyways it was just a suggestion. I don’t think they would do it anyways.
and i disagree. it isnt fun. maybe the 1/10 matches you get a good map on where you can hide in valleys.
and that is if your team dosnt kill everyone in their team, or their team annihilates yours first.
4 ARH missiles is still 4 missiles that can kill 4 targets.
its very light and nimble, and turns quite quickly, it isnt outclassed by anything but good F-16 pilots.
missile loadout? ye, it definitly will be if it dosnt get the aim-120C’s. but currently it does perfectly fine with what it has, sitting on a 66% winrate according to Thunderskill.
but if it dosnt get the 120C’s it will struggle a bit.
radar? where have you gotten that from? its perfectly fine. it isnt an AESA, but its still very good.

Yeah no obviously i get that it’s just a suggestion i just don’t really see the point in more or less removing a unique aircraft, foldering it with the J37D would be fine imo.
And i wouldn’t even say the hornet is worse, the Gripen is only marginally better in most areas and loses hard loadout wise, ideally yes the gripen is better but in the 15 v 15 reality that is toptier the Hornet wins without a doubt

Gaijin refuse to fix the radar.
I would much rather have fm fixes and Radar buffs

well sure that is your opinion to which you are entitled.
same can be said about any aircraft and any missile, the 120C5 isnt the Godsent rod of punishment you make it out to be, at least as of right now it performs aggressively mid compared the all the other Fox3s and only grants marginal improvements which wouldn’t warrant a BR increase IMO. And yes obviously it does fine at 13.7 would i take the J10A and by extension almost any other 13.7 over it any day of the week though? yes, yes i would. Only having 4 ARHs just limits your ability to play aggressive and force the enemy to defend until you can take a real killing shot way too much.

It may come then for us to make the JAS39C 14.0 and the JAS39A 13.7 so theres not a weird top tier line

It’s the only top tier jet that is limited to 4 ARH missiles, I think it’s fair to say it should receive better AMRAAMs.

Reasonable armament for the Gripen’s makes too much sense for Gaijin to do it.
The C could never be 14.0 with 6 missiles, actually nevermind the F-18C is worse in every way than the other ones and it’s still 14.0. Gaijin really doesn’t give a f*** about Swedish air, not to mention we need to research a whole nother 420k RP plane to get what everyone else gets.
