Hi everyone and Gaijin Development Team,
I am writing to propose a feature request regarding the current store and purchasing system in War Thunder.
Currently, whenever players attempt to buy Golden Eagles, vehicle packs, or Premium time from within the game client, the game redirects them to an external web browser (Gaijin Store). While this system works for many, it creates significant friction and payment failures for a considerable portion of the player base, particularly in specific regions like Turkey and eastern Europe.
The Problem:
Regional Bank Restrictions: Many regional banks and local payment providers enforce strict fraud prevention policies, 3D Secure protocols, or currency conversion blocks on international web store checkouts. However, integrated native microtransactions (such as Steam Wallet or direct in-client API checkouts) pass through authorized regional gateways seamlessly.
Broken User Experience: Leaving the game client, launching an external browser, logging in, and completing payment causes unnecessary delays and frequently leads to timed-out transactions or rejected cards.
Proposed Solution:
Implement a fully integrated, direct in-game overlay/store system where purchases can be processed natively without launching an external browser window.
Why This Benefits Gaijin and the Players:
Higher Conversion Rates: Simplifying the payment process directly reduces abandoned transactions and encourages impulse purchases during sales or event grinds.
Broader Payment Accessibility: Players facing strict regional web payment limits (e.g., local cards failing on web portals but working via native client checkouts) will finally be able to support the game financially.
Improved Security & Convenience: Keeping the entire transaction cycle inside the verified game client eliminates browser-related phishing risks and session timeouts.
A seamless purchasing pipeline is a win-win for both the player base and the developers. Is there any chance we could see a fully native in-game store overhaul in future major updates?
Thank you for considering this feedback!
