Is it possible to create a PVP custom mission? I really want to test the damage of shells and depth charges against subs.

Technically yes, I know some people has done similar PVP missions with playable carriers, but to be honest I have no idea how to do that with subs and modern ships, especially most of them are still WIP. Should be fun if I can really do that for the mk.46 on those modern ships are actualy working as guided ASW topedoes but not the dump straight sailing one we currently have on other playable vehicles.

The carriers’ damage model was mostly finished after DEV update 2.60.0.23, so it would be more resilient (as they should be) against torpedoes now.
Sad that USS Tang is still not able to dive.

Nope, at least not on the DEV, AI planes does bomb the hell out of you tho.
It would be funny to nuke a surfaced sub with a big bomb from a strategic bomber

Also, I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before, but diving times from being surfaced are not instant. IRL a Type VIIC took about 30 seconds to dive I believe.
How is that reflected in the current model?
Revenge bombing submarines with 12000lbs “Blockbuster” would be crazy ngl.

I thought that was realistic that if you don’t have enough speed the dive planes are not able to keep you at that depth. or maybe that’s not true?
If we get technical about it, not on its own – it would rise or sink depending on the settings reset by the crew members manning the ballast tanks. What I mean is that, in real life, older submarines would remain at X metres manually without needing propulsion; Just think that, to disappear, they had to switch off everything that made a noise; and if what you were thinking were realistic, many more would have perished due to that lack of propulsion, ultimately destroyed by sinking too deep because of the water pressure.
