What makes you think they’ll be included in the next update? Besides that, I’ve heard the creative director is going to make an announcement about something highly anticipated; let’s hope it’s true and related to submarines

Let’s be clear, Smin was referring to the CM Community Update, which is the community managers highlighting features from the upcoming major update.
The next major update has historically launched in mid-March. So the soonest that submarines could be added to the game would be then. That doesn’t mean that they are coming then, nor do we have any concrete evidence pointing towards this.
CM community updates are usually posted about a week in advance of the devblog season (someone correct me if I’m wrong) and the devblog season is usually about three to four weeks before the update comes out.
The absolute earliest we could have a CM community update would be next week, but the week after would be much more likely.
If submarines are going to be in the March major update, we would most likely hear about it there.

What y’all think about bring I-400 imperial japanese navy submarine , ofc after they add sub’s .May be as premium or event in future, it’s quite unique

Tbh if subs are balanced well, this would be the easiest to add “aircraft carrier” as it would have to use torpedoes if it’s small aircraft pool (3) gets depleted.

I’d place the I400 in the same category as Surcouf, premium, squadron, BP, or gift.
It’s one of those one off cool things with little actual tactical viability.

I would disagree with it having tactical viability. As far as WW2 subs go, they both have relatively high surface speeds and tons of torpedo tubes (I400 has type 93 equivalents, don’t forget). This alone will probably make them pretty competitive (among submarines that is) without even taking into account their aircraft or secondary armaments.

See, I was going off test depth on the grounds that hangar doors and massive turrets surely can’t be good for nicely distributing pressure but no, upon looking it up, they actually have pretty average test depths compared to their peers.
