Probably turn into a “whats next” type of discussion, wondering which subs will be added until we get to the nuclear and modern era

It will become a place where we can discuss all the inaccuracies which gaijin implemented submarines with lol.
In all seriousness, it’ll probably become a speculation channel, maybe a faux bug reporting channel, possibly a place to show off good submarine games we got.

Define inaccuracies? The submarine event went quite well. Whilst having limited capabilities and limiting depth to 63meters.
The finished product won’t be like that and will have hydrophones and sonar working.
I wonder if usable anchors will be added. I also wonder if sub chasers will be given their anti-submarine capabilities.

You say that like it’s a guarantee. There’s no way to confirm exactly how Gaijin will handle things. We have plenty of related files and datamines, but all of the decisions are not final yet. We’ll have to wait and see, and yes, if necessary, be vocal about any inaccuracies or changes that should be made.
Just to double check submarines are definitely being added this year.

I wonder how/what they will do with the 3 float planes of the I-400. IRL they were able to carry either a 800kg bomb or a torpedo I believe. Would be very interesting to see how it’s gonna be implemented

Off the top of my head;
Net laying / boom defence ships,
Landing ships,
Armed merchant ships,
Armed training ships,
Dan-layers,
Armed tugboats,
Hovercraft,
Repair vessels,
Radar picket ships,
Armed tugs.
Most classes of these vessel types are armed, albeit some are lightly armed for their displacement.

Yeah, this is part of the reason it seems like we’re getting submarines this year (again, not guaranteed) because what is there really left to add?
As for “modern warships,” we actually have an answer for that from the same Q&A:
It sounds like it’s something that Gaijin is considering but is a bit further off due to the challenges in implementation.
We actually already have these types of vessel in game, though we should definitely get more of them and expand some of their mechanics.
Monitors and Coastal Defense ships would be a great expansion of the fleets in War Thunder and would be necessary for introducing, say, the Swedish navy
