Subject: Suggestion for Adding Navigation Lights to Aircraft in War Thunder

Dear Gaijin Entertainment Team,

I hope you are doing well. I am a dedicated player of War Thunder and would like to share a suggestion that I believe could improve the realism and overall gameplay experience.

Proposal: Adding Navigation Lights to Aircraft

Navigation lights are a crucial part of real-world aviation, especially during night flights or in low-visibility conditions. I think it would be an excellent addition to have navigation lights on aircraft in War Thunder. This would help enhance the game’s realism, especially in night missions or when flying in challenging weather conditions.

Here are some ideas I have for the feature:

  1. Types of Lights:

Position Lights: Red light on the left wing, green light on the right wing, and a white light on the tail. These are standard on real-world aircraft.

Anti-Collision Lights: Flashing red lights that will help players spot aircraft in multiplayer, especially in close encounters.

  1. Gameplay Usage:

Night Flights: Players would be able to use navigation lights to help identify friendly and enemy aircraft during night missions or in low-light conditions.

Multiplayer Interaction: It will be easier for players to differentiate between aircraft during aerial combat or when flying in close formation.

Weather Conditions: In poor visibility conditions such as fog or rain, these lights will help players maintain awareness of their surroundings.

  1. Control of the Lights:

Players could have the option to toggle these lights on and off manually, using controls like the button for lights while flying.

It would also be useful to allow players to turn off lights in high-threat areas, especially for stealthy missions where avoiding detection is important.

  1. Tactical Impact:

The addition of navigation lights would add more tactical depth, especially during night operations. Aircraft would be easier to identify, but at the same time, it would also make players consider the risk of being detected by the enemy.

Benefits of This Feature:

Realism: Navigation lights would make the game feel more authentic, especially during night missions or in challenging weather.

Improved Multiplayer Experience: Players would have better coordination and easier identification of allies and enemies.

Visual Appeal: The lights would add more atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making the game visually richer.

I believe this feature would enhance the gameplay experience in War Thunder and add more immersion. I would love to see it in a future update.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your thoughts on this suggestion.

AI aah post

also nav/collission lights would serve no purpose in game other than advertising where you are to be shot,

if we want to say where we are if there’s no HUD we have a better option in aerobatic smoke which gives a large trail that’s easier to spot.

nobody plays night matches either, if they do we have cockpit lighting and need no more
