I wanna try these Russian TDs, but do they really worth their BR, especially for SU85/SU85M, compared to Germany TDs and some same BR tanks, it seems that their BR is pretty high, their armor is not good, and also the gun depression is like a disaster, It is pretty hard to accept that I need to use SU85M to against VK3002, should it drop to 4.7 and su85 back to 4.0?
The regular su85 is great it has the speed of an t34 and if you angle you are hard to pen also cant forget how good the gun is. i think 4.3 is good for it.
Su-85M is the best in terms of protection, and knowing you’re going to use a Zis-5 until 6.7, against a 5.0 light armored Panther is no problems.

The gun is fine, but the armor is bot good enough, at least when it needs against German 75mm guns, panther can easily pen that
Most soviet casemates are overtiered or just horrible, and usually both together. The ones you named, I think the lowest BR one with the 85mm might be decent
With proper angling, the su85m can bounce the regular 88 and long 75.
Plus the fact that it looks almost the same as the base su85 leads to many players taking bad shots because they think you have 45mm of armor.
I just try that, but the enemy seems pretty smart, they know shot my commander turret or driver’s compartment cover, and sometimes even M61 can kill me by shooting my barrel.
