JH-7A with the new addition to PL-5EII at 12.3 not to mention they are using Rolls-Royce Spey 203 and it’s so powerful

R-77? Like, the Magic is a strong missile, but i would choose a missile with 5 times the Magic range any day for ARB, at 13.3 its better to have a FOX-3 than a IR missile

Su-30MK2 at 13.3 is a textbook example of br compression. In a full downtier you can face F-16A that doesn’t even have a radar missile or even IRCCM Fox-2. And in a full uptier you can face Rafale the destroyer of worlds. And both situations are equally unfair.

being fr though, an su-30mk2 has a much better chance of beating a rafale than an f-16a blk 10 beating a su-30mk2. and lets not talk about the even worse planes at 12.3 like the f-4ejkai or kurnass 2k lmao

Not sure about that. Because smart player in F-16 will be able to get close unless MK2 is willing to spend several RVV-AEs and after that Flanker can just bend over and spread those nozzles for 20mm rounds. I’d say it’s equally unfair both for uptiers and downtiers.

magic 2 from 3 kilometers away sure, the r77 is dangerous up to 15 kilometers that whilst being more maneuvearable than the magic

Funnily enough, if you actually watched the air superiority/TSS tourneys, you would know that the R-77s are only used as a tool to make people notch, the ER is the main BVR weapon that’s used.
If a tournament player is up close in their team’s ‘dedicated BVR and capping’ jet then either it’s a 1v1, they have won, or something seriously wrong has occurred.
The only people in the ‘knife fight’ are Gripens/J-10s

Yeah the strat for those tourneys are to have 1-2 heavy fighters (su-27sm and finnis fa18c for example) to use their missiles to exert pressure and then for the fa18c specifically to use their cms to waste the other teams missiles, and then light fighters like gripen, j10 and mirage 2k for those close end fighting
