Su-57's radar suite is actually better, F-22 is ageing badly. [Not Ragebait]

I think his source is Halo

Can legitimately not find anything else about such a coating

who started with the semantics here, sure it was you

bc nobody calls it like that

Oh well that explains his Xbox tag

Exactly, he is just a ignorant troll with no meaningful arguments

thats heat treating

There’s a literal company making ablative coatings but hey nice gotcha Tovarisch

Wait till we start debating the physics of radiation.

That is heat shielding

No mention of it being radar absorbent, this is a completely irrelevant coating to the topic

no no it has something to do with stealth, trust

My point was Russia is a second class defense power so I’m surprised their radar suite from 2018 is better than one from 1998.

So far the arguments have been:

Russia is under sanctions and prevents it from being a first class defense industry

Russia cannot sell it’s supposed best aircraft that were explicitly made for export

China is better than Russia

Semantics.

Thanks

wrong the actual argument was this:

sementics?

you are talking about heat treatment coatings while saying that a plane is not a 5th gen without them

TBF, I have heard of ablative materials with radar abdorbant properties. But the thing is its usually for things like… MRV or hypersonic glide projectiles that actually want ablative shielding thermally; and the carbon or ferrous compounds having radar reducing effects are more of a conveient secondary effect.

But it literally did sell it’s aircraft

Ok

They have exported it. If we look at the most modern Russian planes, the Su-30SM2, the Su-35 and the Su-57, they all have been exported

The MiG 35? The plane that was only supposed to be for export that Russia eventually just designated the 29K for domestic use because they were just sitting there gathering dust yet had better avionics than current in service 29s? Okie dokie

I never said they weren’t. I said that two other countries are outselling them mostly because of avionics compatibility and availability. Nobody buys MiGs because the parts market is absolutely non-existent from Russia
