I would change that you would have a chance to defend yourself differently from the f4 which you never have, the only advantage is if the team helps and you can get close and by miracle I was able to defend myself in the case of the f4 with the weapons I gave him I would no longer need count 100% on the team because most of the time it is very disappointing, and I understand your concern with br, I think 12.7 would be a good thing because the f14 with fakuur is there and before the 39 was already fighting with him and using shit of 2 disposable r60 and 2 r73
Su-39 can take a max of 2x R-73s and 2x R-77
The SU-39 is capable of taking 4x R-73Es, 2x R-27ER1s and 2x RVV-AEs all at once.
At 11.7. Redfor dominate in Sim with the Mig-23MLD being 11.3. Meaning you have air superiority most of the time.
at 12.7 that balance of power shifts to be far more even with F-16s and F-14s vs Mig-29s.
Take it from someone who has given up trying to play the Harrier Gr7 in Sim. Higher BR with better weapons is often more of a curse than a saviour.

So there’s some shenanigans you can pull with the ACM targeting, and the agility problem would be lessened notable if they fixed the thrust vectoring of 77 to the point you likely could defend against the scarier threat.
True, though I still think Su-39 vs Typhoon is way worse than Su-39 vs F-14. Especially as the F-14 cant even use IR missiels against the Su-39

All Russian/Soviet vehicles with the new HUD should also have HMS including the SU-39, the SU-39 with HMS and 4x R-73Es, 2x R-27ER1s and 2x RVV-AEs would be more than capable and on par with the AV-8B+.
TLDR the SU-39 is missing HMS
F-14s radar isnt that good, weaker than the Tornado ADV, Sea Harrier, F-16, Gripen, etc by quite a margin.

I completely forgot that the SU-39 has a thermal targeting pod in the files which is yet to be implemented.
I would like to make some comments as I am probably the biggest fan and researcher of the Su-39.
Giving 4 p-77s to him would be a mistake and too OP. I think the option of 2 on pylons instead of p-73 would be common sense (maybe consider adding p-73 on pylons for p-60)
2 P-77 + 2 P-60/P-73 is a logical 11.7 GRB, 12.3-12.7 ARB (I think it should be 0.3 below AV-8B Plus if only 2 p-77).
It doesn’t need a higher number as it will raise the BR too much
I’d just give it the R-27ER1s and the RVV-AE in the future when we get further decompression (like 14.0/.3).
It would probably sit at 12.0 or 12.3 with them making it pretty bearable.
so ask to remove the aim 120 and 9m from the harriers as well because the su 39 and the av8 have the same peculiarity, they are both made to be multipurpose cas so much so that it was because of this versatility that the marines made their acquisition, leaving the av8 with 9l and the su 39 with your r60m then you will take away all its peculiarity from the aircraft and the fact of its existence

For me, who bought in pre-sale, I always played and fell with high br when the f14 and company were below what was put in the recent changes, and giving him the r27 or r77 will solve his problem of defending himself, if you look at the su25sm3 which is at 12.3 the difference is the r73 and the kh38, the 39 being able to have the missiles could easily defend itself, the 39 is at 11.7 most of the time it falls at 12.7, so example, out of 10 matches 8 or 6 drops in high br, that’s a rate of 60%, and in 12.7 you literally only enter to die because your missiles are short range and fakkur and aim-54 and aim7 they devour you like a wild animal, why get close if I can kill the 39 from afar is what an aircraft player with long/medium missiles thinks and you can’t do anything because you don’t even have long/medium missiles, it was supposed to be because you were created to be multi , a multicas that’s the purpose and when you don’t even do that it’s sad.
To be fair, the Su-25SM3 being 12.3 is a bit odd, it’s straight up worse than the Su-25T and Su-39 outside of the Kh-38 and thermals in the targeting camera, but these only matter in GFRB. Both the Su-25T and Su-39 gets the Vikhrs that at least have a proxy fuse, and garbage as the R-60s are, having them still beat losing the pylons to ECM pods that are not in the game. You also don’t get the IRCM on the SM3.
I hope the SM3 was an oversight of the BR splits rather than Gaijin unironically considering that the Kh-38 is a credible A2A weapon, and that eventually, maybe, when they feel like adding them, the ECM pods will be such a massive improvement to the plane.
I’d be absolutely down to see the top tier Su-25s receive some Fox-1 or even Fox-3 cause while it certainly wouldn’t make them good at A2A, it also wouldn’t make them worse.
