Yes, it will be for sale. But this is not the best CAS. The MiG-27K is much better in this role. It has 4 excellent missiles and speed + camera to aim them.
If they offered me a premium MiG-27K, I would buy it.
However, I have to download it for several months, and then pay 10k for repairs
been saying the same for years. I gave up with ARB in everything and swapped to SB because it is just bad. especially for my favourite jet in game, the Tornado Gr1. Which I did actually try in ARB the other day. I rushed forward, dropped bombs on bases, turned around and got shot down instantly. That is not fun gameplay.
It was suppose to be added last major update as the new SQ Vehicle for britain, but was canceled because everyone was pissed about it. It will likely appear elsewhere at some point in the future.
I have the mig27k and it’s good, but i prefer the su-25T simply because i find it good looking. Plus you actually have the ability to take R60 + KH29T, so it’s decent. The big advantage tho it that the mig 27k is supersonic. You can climb aboce the battlefield, which is something you cant do with the su 25. i explained that and why i think a thermal imager is needed here to another person on reddit :
Those vehicle cant be compared with eachother for a few reason. The mig 27k can get kills because it is supersonic and can fire its KH25 above SPAA. The Ka-50 is a heli and can sit at top tree level while firing. In those 2 situations thermal are not very useful because you have time to spot and engage target. With the SU-25T/39, you are slow and cant climb above the battlefield quickly, so you have to expose yourself the whole time your searching and engaging a target. A thermal pod would drastically reduce the searching time, allowing for more room to engage. And a powerful soviet SPAA has nothing to do with it considering what i described is even worse in sim, where SPAA arent a thing.
I don’t like the su-25t because of the camouflage, but the su-39 is just gorgeous in blue.
I even want to buy a prefabricated model and put it on a shelf)
I should make it clear, im not against the Su-39 getting the thermal pod, just:
Be Patient
Get in line
and stop making random comparisons just to bump the post.
Share interesting information, and facts from your research. Amend previous points and refine them. Generally try and do what is done in the Tornado, harrier, Typhoon, etc pages. But shouting from the top of the roof expecting a change next week is just going to get bricks thrown at you.
Though, The Lightning F-52 is Iranian. therefore britain should get F-14B technically if that is the case. Though im more pissed about germany get the Hunter F58.
USSR has the Mig-29 though, you arent suffering, if you want, I’ll trade you my Tornado F3
Here is where it blocks : the Khod thermal imager was a prototype, and it is really hard, nor impossible to find detailed caracteristic of it (Weight, FoV, Matrix…) thing is :
The company that created this pod, Geophisika, is still active and contacting this company can actually only be done effectively with a good purpose.
Gaijin responded to Ralin bug report saying they needed precise info, but a lot of things in the game are not accurate. They could simply replace the NVD on the merkury with a TVD and everyone would be happy.
I think it was datamined right? They probably have done that. But if information is that hard to come by, and lets face it, Russia hasnt exactly made that easy at the moment. Then its going to simply take longer. Probably why it wasnt added at start. we are entering an era, where that is going to be a problem for every new jet. I have no idea how they are going to do things like Accurately model the Typhoon or Brimstones or anything like that because a chunk of the information will be classified
It was actually datamined, but what scares me is the bug report phrase : visual confirmations, system parameters, etc. are needed to configure the pod correctly.
the word configure let me think they wanted to introduced it, but they do not have the data. Sadly, there is a high chance those data are unaccessible, or lost…
