Actually, since you cannot read, if you go back and read my comment in response to you, I said a “Su-39 at 11.7 with 2 aam R-77s is equivalent to an 11.3 A-10C with a maw, hmd iff, and 4 aim-9ms.”
Which, funny how the Su-25sm3 is still 12.3 eh?
Also gaijin literally modeled the pylons for the Su-24 for its R-73
Actually I said 12.0 for the Su-39 with 2 R-77 (radar needed), 2 R-73, and 2 R-60M which is true to its irl loadout. You could add a lot more to the list though.
Plus, it would make fighters not have free kills, but you like free kills, so you’d never allow it. It would make you have to work for your victory.
Su-34 isnt going to suffer without Grom 1s. In fact, its still going to be insanely OP in GRB, probably the best CAS aircraft in game and imo, under BRed in air modes too. I cant think of any reason why its not at 13.7. It massively outperforms most 13.3s like the Tornado F3 AOP.
I do think its crazy how they say Brimstones would be totally OP and cant be added in their full capacity and then in the exact same update add a supersonic aircraft that can fire 6x KH-38s that already have 0 counter when fired from the far weaker and slower Su-25SM3.
Neither the F-15E or the Su-34 should have been added until all nations got an SPAA that was at a minimum equal to the Pantsir, if not all nations getting a top tier SPAA that was better, with an effective range of about 16-20km and not the 8km that something like the ADATS has.
It can track through smoke. Thats it, that is the only advantage it would have over the KH-38. Which has an IOG that will quite happily guide the missile through smoke more often than not and due to the nature of top tier CAS and the ranges these missiles are usually fired at, unless you are actively looking out for them, you wont know to deploy smoke anyway.
Make it so that Brimstones cant track through smoke but is still FnF and its still one of the weakest AGMs at top tier on one of the weakest platforms at top tier (GRB)
The reasons they listed for Brimstones being OP were mostly BS reasons that simply arent true or are true for other missiles already in game.
I don’t know how many more times Gaijin have to explain this one. You’d think once would be enough. They can track through smoke perfectly, and seek targets by themselves, they don’t need to be queued to a target to launch.
Its not the same as an IR agm that goes into a glide when it loses lock from smoke. Everyone knows to back up after smoking, because even AGMs without IOG will continue on their path after losing lock.
Mode 2 is a LOBL that uses the laser and mmV in the terminal phase
Mode 3 is the LOAL mode that everyone considers to be the truly OP mode.
Why can they limit it to Mode 1 and thats fine, but it would be impossible to limit it to mode 1 + 2 if it got mmV.
A KH-38 fired at close range (past about 8-10km is enough for safety from most SPAA at top tier) will hit the target in what 10-15 seconds? that is insuffecient range to deploy smoke and reverse out of the way of the decently sized warhead in most top tier SPAAs. As soon as those are dead, you can close the range much further and even MBTs wont be able to use that tactic anymore because you drop smoke the missile will just keep going straight through to hit you. No dfiferent to having mmV. But again… Just model it so that smoke blocks mmV (which does exist IRL with smoke with chaff) or give it placeholder “IR” seeker.
or at a bare minimum… Upgrade them to SAL only Brimstone 2s which have twice the effective range and thus half the loiter time when fired at closer ranges. Along with upgrading the TV seeker PGMs with IR seeker PGMs (reported 5 months ago for that one) and give the GR4 some much needed buffs like BOL.
There are solutions to making the GR4 a more effective and usuable CAS without mmV or FnF Brimstones but they havent done any yet.
But it still doesnt change the fact that basically no nation has any form of counter against the Su-34, even CAP isnt going to be a slam dunk counter like it has been in the past vs Su-25SM3s
