in the other recent similar case there is also no evidence the seeker was made
It was the R-27A to be precise, forgot to be more clear, sorry.
There is, there was a test firing of the r-27A on a mig-29
Guys forget about R-27s we should be discussing R-37M its a must. No one can deny its existence.
we should let them pick their poison
either r-37m or r-27EA
the pointy radome is not typical of an R-27EA but of an early R-27ER
I did hear about this too, hence why I’m skeptical about them aside from the mockup shown during 1997. The pointy seeker head is indeed not limited to it. The mockup that is known to be a EA also has a yellow-ish seeker head compared to the white ones found on other missiles that are allegedly “R-27EA”
Unless there are documents literally stating usage specifically for the 27EA, I wouldn’t really trust it
yes, the EA would have had a cream-ish radome like on the mock up where as the R-27ER’s is white and the R-27EP’s is a sort of odd orange-brown
Yup, and even if the R27ea exists, why would it go to the su-33 of all things
it wouldn’t because the Su-33M program died with the USSR, if time accuracy was considered it would go on the MiG-29M 9-15 or one of the Su-27M’s (T-10M 701 to 711 (711 is the Su-37)).
here’s another pic of the mock up
Yes. I’m aware. I already posted this. Also according to a person whom I’ve asked who knows lots of stuff about Russian stuff, this seeker cone wouldn’t even make sense. It can’t angle the seeker, and if it did get a proper cone, it would be similar to the R-77 or a R-27ER. The pointy head should also be a dummy missile.
And it would make sense having a dummy missile in display or in display during flying. You can clearly see the other missiles not being real as their boosters are literally covered/filled (seen in the photos where a “R-27EA”, which is a dummy because of the pointy seeker, is being flown)
There is literally no proof of a test launch aside from the R-27A. And the configuration where it is “displayed” doesnt even make sense either. If it were made, documents would’ve already surfaced just like the R-27A
Yep
Going off of Yefim’s book, unless you mean the proposed T-10MK, Su-33"M" first of all isn’t a real name but they associate it with the proposed refurbishment/MLU package by KnAPPO, which mainly includes L-150, a Satelite Navigation Suite and AL-31FM1s. No upgrade to it’s radar or FCS mentioned…
This is what i was refering to although it would have recieved the ability to fire the R-77’s too (my main proof to this is a pic i can’t find anymore of the 27KUB having an R-77 mounted so take it with a big pinch of salt)
T-10KUB-1 used Zhuk-M/N010M, completely different radar compared to N001K.
I’m aware, do take this with a big pinch of salt
No. I doubt r27ea will ever come to the game
No we should let them pick, we simply increase the quantity in unison.
