The su33 probably wouldn’t be able to provide proper guidance for a arh missile anyways.
The only planes that are currently ingame and able to guide the 27a/ea would be the Mig29smt, Yak141, Su27sm and Su-30sm
There was a proposed upgrade for the su33 that would have integrated the r77 on it but it got canceled because of the carrier situation in the soviets union and the lack of funds after it’s colapse
Well but doesn’t this text mean the missile was launched 12 time using RGS-9B-1103 , towards the end of the year there were 2 controlled launches (1987)? I am not perfect in reading by no means but, some one correct me if I am wrong, this supports the evidence that it was used all be it during test phase.
Ahh yes looking at the seeker of the missile it is R27-R my bad, website mis informed me stated that it was EA but looking at the seeker it appears to be R-27 R
What photos do you want to compare them to? I’ve gone through this game with about half a dozen people, and without a baseline there’s simply “nuh uhs” thrown around between blatant denialism.
It had been shown dozens of times, twice in Paris and at 4 of the most attended MAKS expos (including a 21st century showing) on multiple different aircraft.
It’s a EA. Pretty sure the ER seeker is different and doesn’t have that seeker inside
Now there needs to be proof of an actually produced one, as I highly doubt thats a real one, and proof of testing of the specific variant is also not available, at least as of now. Most images so far are either colored in mockup colors or are just mockups. Or so I assume they are, as I’m pretty sure active missiles are not allowed in exhibitions
Ah, thought I had linked another image. That is an 1103 inside. Good clarification.
None were “actually produced”, the program itself never received contract.
There are no “mockup colored” R-27EAs, all of them either brandish basic service paint or high visibility demonstrator paint. I’m yet to see a de-armed R-27EA.
Active missiles are most definitely allowed in exhibitions and expos. Explosive ordnance, on the other hand…
There was no MiG-29 capable of fielding any 1103 variation at the time. The first variant capable of using any ARH missile came almost 5 years after live firing concluded for the 27EA.
Why does the Su 33 play better than the Su 30sm, I feel like the Su30 cannot maintain level altitude at low flights it always points up and passes the threshold exposing you to several missiles at the same time?
I constantly have to correct it, what is the best way of flying the SM?
I guess my mouse pad and laptop wont cut it. Ya I was wondering why I struggled to maintain level flight, in this case they should give us the option to remove thrust vectoring since I notice vectors moving all the time, or give the SU 30sm a better engine.
