both 9x and asraam are a free kill at close range so i dont see your point, you would also be in radar range for both jets way before that so it would be a fox 3 fight first and the meteor isnt all that cracked close range either
Unlike amraams that have an easy to dodge seeker in wt, meteors would have a further developed MICA seeker, so even in the worst case scenario it’s still a better option.
that’s not how warthunder works my guy the devs will simply give both aim120D and Meteor the same seeker template for “next gen Fox3”
no uk/italy will get meteor f35 while usa f35 will be stuck aim120d

We don’t know. The aim260 is but a legend on the wind at the moment in terms of what civilians can find out. Considering contemporary missiles will have aesa and that the U.S. isn’t broke, it’ll probably have aesa or even a multimode seeker that has aesa and IIR. Whatever it is, they’re building a 6.5 million dollar bunker just to keep them a secret.
This is the only know rendering of the AIM-260. Must be crazy performance if they’re keeping this such a secret.
I mean 6.5 million dollars might be a drop in the bucket for u.s. spending but its still a 6.5 million dollar bunker just to keep it a secret. Now im just going off of rumors here but supposedly it has; some kind of multimode seeker, 50g pull due to thrust vectoring, and a new propellant and a longer multi pulse motor to increase range to over 200km. which sounds absolutely ridiculous considering it’ll be on the upgraded F22s.
