It can’t. It can do 120° to its left or right. A bug report was submitted to increase this to 125° as well.
The Rafale is intimidated, look what this thing does for a whole year, but everyone just says “ha, screw it, I don’t care, but I’ll be angry if Russia gets a radar that looks to the sides.”

Dare I say that the current aircraft already added in-game are already its closest counterparts and that there’s not much alternatives left to be added into the game.
So what would you like to see added as a counter?

I mean we’re running out of 4th gen planes to add into the game, we simply cannot be delaying additions like Su-30SM2 any longer.

I don’t understand why people compare the Rafale and the Su-30SM2. The Rafale is the only aircraft with TVS missiles with ARL heads,
while the Su-30SM2 is more suitable for long-range combat. Its radar allows it to launch all eight missiles and guide them at extreme angles.
Why not compare the AR-15 with the Barrett?
F15ex is the closest counterpart, but because we can’t have 5th gens the only way to balance this would be assymetrically by actually giving opponents better modelled missiles or even better fix arh seeker heads so bvr actually becomes slightly realistic. Implement the aam4 bug reports, fix aim120c5 or add aim120d, fix pl12a, buff the range on the micas or whatever.
Literally anything is better than 0 balance

Considering all opponents are gimped I believe this.
I’m just opposed to removing the Su-30SM2 or unhistorically nerfing it. But I do agree with all the other suggestions.

It having the irbis in the first place is dubious + you do realize that most aircraft tit fights against are already ahistorically nerded
Micas can have their range if the Seeker buff is removed, and if F15EX is added, SU-35s will also need to be added.
Does it not have Irbis-E in service?

We should be advocating for all remaining 4th gens to be added in the first half of 2026 anyway, and this includes Su-35 and F-15EX.
