F-15E was upgraded sometime over a decade ago. All existing F-15Es in service use the engines because it gives the aircraft a higher subsonic cruise speed when running strike missions over the “old” engines.
Correct, so it was upgraded, and in game was also upgraded, i dont see why the Su-30SM cant get its upgraded engines. We just want the engines, and it can be done , because the f-15e got its engines without its radar

Right now I’ve seen no evidence of Su-30SM with upgraded engines, let alone the entire fleet.
Also the F-15E does have its radar.
AESA was only recently added to the Es if at all.
Sep 9, 2024 is the news article for refit, so I’m doubting the claims that SM “1” is currently upgraded.
I do get that people are upset that the Su-30SM accelerates the slowest of the 14.0s; I just don’t understand why the complaints are happening when Mirage players don’t complain about the Mirage 2000 being the slowest accelerating 13.7.
And most importanty 4x R-37M.
Probably because the mirage just flys like a dream in every other aspect, and the Mica-EM missiles are pretty phenomenal. Hell even the 12.7 mirage blew my mind. First 5 games with it I couldn’t manage to die and had 90%+ activity in all of them with 2-3 kills a game bone stock🤣

IDK about you, but I have a fine time flying a slower accelerating F-15 that can pull harder if I want it to.
Tbf Alvis, you’re having a good time in an F-15 because it was and still is dominating. Everyone that is not an EFT or F-15 has to hug the ground

I’m using the F-15JM, not the E. The E’s inferior to the JM overall for what I want in a jet.
I don’t care for a 2 minute climb and likely never will. It’s a cool tactic, but it leaves you doing little for a lot of the match more matches than not.
And the AAM-4 is as decent as the AIM-120
That’s not really true. I don’t hug the ground in any aircraft when I don’t want to. In fact I usually do better when I dont.
I think we should wait to see how it performs on the live server, then do it after that.
This is just a rumor I’ve heard and have yet to find anything backing it up
There was supposedly 1 Su-30SM that was test fitted with AL-41F1S for testing back in the late late 2010s (In preparation for the SM2 contract most likely), so if that’s the route gaijin wants to take then too hell with it all I guess
And also just sayin, the SM"1" designation isn’t real if that’s what you’re hitting at, its just SM → SM2 upgrades wise
I fully support adding new engines. The Su 30 Sm has pretty poor energy retention and slow acceleration.
