absolutely not. thats base r77 range. r77-1 will likely outperfom amraam anything below <20 kilometers, whilst competing and having a better maneuverability over that. stop downplaying it, its going to be a great missile, definetly the most versatile
Get it right please, The first ones were spotted in 2022
In case you can’t figure it out, look at the slats. It has the L-band AESA IFF Antenna found on the Su-35
Based on current data it won’t.
This horse is so dead why are we still beating it? You’re just wrong. I’m not elaborating, go read the forums and watch actual dev server fights with it on YouTube. the stat card is extremely reliant on a single perfect situation.
youre right. changes nothing about my point. instead of being less than a year old, its 2 years old
said data being?
“youre wrong i refuse to elaborate whyre youre wrong”
Performance data of missiles found on statshark.
I mean tbf the most modern aircraft we have rn is the Rafale C F3R (F3 with HMD?) that was operational in 2019
im not saying we shouldnt have the sm2 cause its too new, i was pointing out how stupid was saying t hat the f15e got “fictional engines” when hes advocating for the su30sm getting an extremely new upgrade.
i think sm2 wouldnt be particularly ground breaking, though it most certainly would be the best aircraft ingame by decent marging.
Nah, I think EFT (It’s a really good aircraft) and Rafale would still dominate
at mach 1.18 at 6000 meters there is like a whole second of difference for the r77-1 to burn against a maneuvering target. r-77-1 will be great stop downplaying it.
nah sm2 with al41 would absolutely dominate(not saying its necessarily a bad thing). r73s would be the worst part of the aircraft and theyre fairly good fox2s
It still doesn’t beat out the EFT with raw power alone, and you know how good the EFT’s turn is even with the nerf to high speed turns. But until we get the ingame values for it, we can only speculate
eft doesnt have tvc.
Mirage 2000D RMV is from 2021
I personally see adding the 41’s as an action that will cause issues later down the road. The AL41 is the pinnacle of Russian engine design, and there is nothing past that save other variants of the same engine. Adding the pinnacle now will only cause complaints later on, with people likely complaing about “uughhh same engines no difference” for the next slew of Russian aircraft. IMO it is far better to save them for the Su35S, 30SM2, and 57 than add them a bit prematurely. The comparison to the 229 engines on the Strike Eagle is misconstrued as the engines were only an issue because the Israeli version was getting them while the American one was not. Now I could see the AL41’s being reasonable if say, China got a Su35S or whatever with 41’s and Russia did not. However, I see no reason to dimish the performance jump of future aircraft for the sake of a likely-to-be short lived (in game) multirole upgrade to the Russky Flanker fleet before we get the Su35S quite soon.
It’s a gimmick that’s has more cons than pro when you use it
2024 for orignal SM.*
No F-15 was using PW-229 in 1989, the first were using it in the late 1990s at the earliest, likely early 2000s.
Su-35 would be far better than the SM2 by weight alone and by the time Su-35 gets added more systems will be introduced in war thunder
It’s the same with the Rafale and EFT btw, since most upgrades for the airframe only tackles avionics and US has a potential monster with the EX with the GE129 but then again they could just get the SA with more pylons and AESA radar
Edit: nvm SA gets a GE129 lol
