Su-30MK2 AMV – Proposal for 13.7 BR with 8× R-77 Loadout Consideration

Anyone average can do good in the f18c early

Whatever twisted narrative floats your boat.

Exactly, if the new premium f16 can be 13.7 so can the Su30

Is it true that the F-16AMs are overtiered? I was looking through posts online, and people are saying it’ll be a waste of money because of the lack of countermeasures and the Su-30 spam. My only concern is the small number of countermeasures it gets and the fact that the pylon countermeasures can only be equipped with ground weapons is pretty annoying.

No think the f16 am is properly tiered, it’s just that there are other things it should be the same br or lower that is not…

Yes the flare thing is also very weird

Okay, while I know Su-30SM/MKM rev, & Su-35 are compatible with the extra missiles…
I’m gonna need a source for the Mk2.

The Premium SU-30s can easily handle 13.7 right now. Sure, with that finicky radar and an RWR with a 30° coverage angle, it’ll be tough at times, but hey, the SU-27SM has the same crappy radar and an RWR that occasionally lets a missile slip past us without warning (it’s worth banking the plane occasionally to check if anything’s coming at us from above or below).

The only difference between the premium SU and the SU-27SM is two fewer missiles and slightly weaker thrust, but that’s nothing—they’ll still be the best premium planes available in the store in my opinion, especially the SU-30MKK with its PL-12s, which, despite the recent nerf to those missiles, still perform great in a BVR role; I even had a successful shot with them at 40 km; the guy was probably at 11 km altitude, I was at 9 km and flying at 1.5 Mach—that was enough for the PL-12, aided by the datalink from the TWS, to catch up to him pretty quickly; he started evading way too late :)

But the truth is that as long as premium SUs keep selling well, Gijin probably won’t touch them—you don’t kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. Sad but true; for a corporation this big, the numbers in Excel will always come first. Snails like lettuce—that’s the whole story.

EDIT:
But in MY OPINION, the best solution would be to extend the BR range to ~15.3–15.7; then, with a clear conscience, the SU premium could be moved to 13.7 without affecting sales, and the most powerful 13.7 aircraft (SU-27SM, F-15J(M), etc.) could be moved to BR ~14.0–14.3.

Overall, the BR/matchmaking system needs some tweaking; an F-16A armed only with AIM-9Ls shouldn’t be facing killers like the SU-30, F-14A IRAF, J-11A at all.

Gaijin should focus on that, not on some manga-style tanks… :(

F-14A? The F-14A is easy to kill, and it only has rear-aspect Sidewinders right now. It’s not broken.

Ahh, I just noticed the IRAF part. They can catch you off guard when you’re not paying attention, but all you have to do is drop chaff and fly the other way.

Me too. Welcome to the place where we’re trying to find that answer. It might not exist, it could be classified, or the aircraft simply might not be capable of doing it because of its fire control system.

Seeing this in-game would be really cool, but it might not happen if there isn’t any historical evidence to support it. Like many others, I want the aircraft to move up in battle rating either way, but I want to be clear that I’m not doing this with malicious intent or trying to abuse the system.

Some people (not you) find it hard to comprehend that someone can be genuinely curious about an aircraft’s capabilities and simply wants to find out what others think. That’s why I’m asking the question and running the poll, so we can come to a reasonable conclusion about whether it should or shouldn’t be possible.

Yeah, I should have written “Fakour-90” instead of F-14A ;)
Yeah, Tomcats usually go down first, but Fakours are still a deadly threat—a split-second delay in evading and we’re done for, especially for the poor F-16A, which has no way to respond symmetrically with only the AIM-9L; this aircraft shouldn’t even see the current 13.3-tier planes; it’s enough that it has to face a sea of Fox 1s (including the deadly R-27ER) and the first modern Fox 3s from 13.0-tier aircraft.

I agree with a lot of this, and the aircraft doesn’t really struggle against many of the 13.7 and 14.0 aircraft it faces when you know what you’re doing. The idea behind the eight missiles is that I want it to move up in battle rating without negatively affecting sales, and it would essentially just become a heavier Su-27SM.

After reading some of these comments, I think the extra missiles would be a bit unnecessary, even if it would be really cool to see. (If they added the pylon) For the sake of fairness, the Su-30MKK should only be allowed to carry eight RVV-AE missiles, so you wouldn’t be able to mix them with PL-12s. Just want to make that last part clear.

I might be wrong here, but I heard they’ve changed it to large caliber countermeasures. There should be an option that allows you to take both small and large caliber countermeasures.

My theory is that they looked at the countermeasure load out on Russian and Chinese jets and wanted to make the fights fairer, since some Western jets carry a much larger number of countermeasures.

Still waiting on that Soumua SM uptier

Are you joking?

Who would ever be joking about it?

This isn’t really the discussion for that kind of thing. The tank is fine at 7.7 and is easy to kill. I hope you’re not basing your opinion of fighting the tank on a single player who destroyed you in a match just because they’re really good at the game.

IS-6 speaks

Don’t aim for the upper front plate. Aim for the oscillating turret instead. Just because one heavy tank is overtiered doesn’t mean another one should be.

And you criticize the developers? I’m very glad they don’t listen to you. Thank them for looking at statistics and never listening to your opinion.
