I think Gripen will just mean the Rafale and typhoon are even worse.
But if BVR combat with ARH becomes the meta. Then FM doesn’t matter as much and Radar performance and volume of fire take the lead.
Then other nations are screwed

I don’t think so. 1 and 9 wing stations are used in Advanced Eagles like QA/SA/EX.
IIRC late version E models also recieved the same confugration, might be wrong tho.
Additional hardpoints wasn’t active on legacy eagles because of aerodynamics instability and etc caused by them. Advanced Eagle series has full FbW control which can compensate it.

I think TWR, powerful engines will make just as much of a difference as number of missiles would. Unless you’re judging performance off the 16v16 RB gameplay

Yea tables like that might be confusing and can cause misremembering sometimes.
Everyone is getting ARH carries with this patch, the thing is not all of them will be equal.
For example Russia and China will have the best loadout while F-15’s and F4F ICE follows them closely tho Phantom will have much worse flight performance.
Meanwhile France,Britian,Italy and Sweden will have 6 missile loadout at best.

Anyways, if they actually do something about Multipath, at least in a 1 on 1 engagement I believe the F15 will slam the SU27, but I agree the SU27 will likely be more ‘effective’ in the 12v12-16v16 environment of air RB due to 2 extra missiles, not accounting for dogfights.
One can always hope, but i dont think they will change anything about multipath with this uptade hence why im gonna use 4 Aim-9M+4 Aim-120 combo on my upcoming F-15C, or 2 Aim-9M at least.
Absoluletly, F-15C should have no problem dumping Su-27 in 1vs1 unless Gaijin changes Su-27 Fm.
According to my experience dogfights getting less and less common on these days and with upcoming major uptade it will be even less.
Su-27SM will be king when it comes to engaging multiple enemies, with F-15 following closely behind the Su-27.

Yeah sadly not enough noise being made about it currently.
I’m speaking BVR as well as dogfight, more ARH, which have better range to R77 on a platform with much better energy manoeuvrability.
Multipath is one of the things that really messes with ‘balance’ when you try to compare aircraft, because sure the 27ER’s are incredible in their own right, but they easily become so irrelevant when you consider that they are rendered useless if the opponent flies 90 meters above the ground. At least in SB where I play, it’s much more frequently abused due to the nature of less players and no markers, meaning less opportunities for kill-stealing/double-teaming.

Everyone complained about the Gripen FM being too good despite the fact it was historically accurate and they had to nerf it other ways like fake BOL nerfs.
So Typhoon and Rafale will have artificially nerfed flight models

Show to us a single picture of the Rafale using AMRAAM. A single one is that is not a test. I’m pretty pretty sure they never used AMRAAM and used the Mica instead

ARH and AMRAAM mean the same thing when not talking about AIM-120 specifically BTW.
