Which in sim is HUGE. You cant understate how good that many r27ers are in sim, would just make climbing impossible.

you have to remember at 13.0 -12.0 bracket there are harriers (which have pretty good radars) with aim120s and f14s with fakour-90’s and phoenix’s
also it doesn’t matter if i have 6 R-27ers if my dogshit radar cant find any planes

Harriers are not at all an issue with their quite poor maneuverability and an airframe lacking A-A diversity.
The best thing they can do is ground strike… Which isn’t a lot.
Brother… These can be avoided by a guy in an F-8E if you give him the chance.
The Su-27 has a VERY good and tunable radar with one of the best user-interactive integrations of it in the game.
Maybe apart from the A-10C or Gripen, the Su-27 has some of the most information feedback of any plane.

I’m sorry but I’m going to have to disagree with you on this one. The Su-27’s (not the Su27SM) radar is quite shit compared to others at the same Br of close to. For one you cant limit the scan scope of the radar only increase its range and it only has 3 set positions for horizontal gimble movement.
I know i was just trying to make a point in that fact that the R27er isn’t special at 13.0-12.0 sim and that there are other missiles in the bracket that put a little strain on climbing

MiG-29G isnt level of Su-27, especially while Su-,27 has 27ER and ETs
Only thing gaijin need to do rn - decompression up to 14.0, that will help flanker and other 13.3 planes

The 13.3 Su-27 is completely useless at the moment. Fighting the 13.7 Spamraam with fox -1s is not an even fight.
At 13.0 it would be strong, no question, but lets compare it to the F-15A:
The Flanker has:
-inferior FM
-inferior radar
-inferior RWR
+2 more Fox 1s
+slightly faster Fox 1s
R73 vs 9M is another topic, but imo the 9M is more difficult and annoying to deal with because its fckn invisible.
Most players will not be able to really use the extra 2 ERs, because in many cases they die before the shitty radar allows them to fire all six. And their speed advantage is also worthless if the enemy can detect and lock you earlier because your radar needs the half day to complete its search pattern.
98% of my Mig-29 R27ER kills would be the same and also possible if the missile was a few seconds slower. Situations where these 1-2 seconds really make a difference are rare.
Overall the Su-27 is not stronger than the F-15A and fits way more into the 12.0-13.0 bracket than into 13.3-13.7

Yeah, i dont think people realise how powerfull these missiles are in sim when you dont have a diamond telling you where the guy is… Trying to find the guy locking you is half the battle.

You talk about 9M? Yes, without the diamond they are invisible and very powerful.
If you mean the R27-ER:
You get a launch warning, you see the direction on your RWR all the time, and when you look in that direction, you see the smoke… Same game as with the Sparrow.
So it has to be worse in every single aspect than the F-15A to be in the same BR?

And? This is nothing new.
Tornado F3 spent an entire year being over-BR’ed/forced uptiered vs Mig-29s and F-16s that totally outclassed it, even facing Su-27s every match for 2 months. Then we got new brackets and now it can face downtiers and is really good. Su-27 will just be the same, Wait another 5 or so months and then im sure we’ll have a 12.3-13.3 bracket for it.
Though, quite frankly, lowering it to 13.0 because “AMRAAMs” wont change anything, instead you’ll just find yourself fighting AV-8B+ and Sea Harrier FA2s instead that also have AMRAAM and if the Su-27 moves to 12.7, then I want a LOT of other aircraft to move down in BR.

Blue side players are just going to have to adapt to the new meta of only having pure blue vs blue matches in that 12.7/13.0 bracket.
Or people just aren’t going to play sim at all which is what seems to be happening at this point.

For both. Even with the smoke (implying your within 20km) its still hard to spot them. Also the su 27 has a very good hud for sim as it was made with 1 pilot in mind giving them great awareness. Its still hard to figure out where your getting shot from and if they are close or not as rwr doesnt tell you range yet.
Digital RWR on most western planes basically does give you the range to the launch platform.

How so?
That isn’t much of a downside? It’s still as useable as a large majority of radars (excluding 4+/4++ systems) and doesn’t present any downsides when compared to them in this aspect.
It’s the worst radar at top tier and it’s not a narrow margin.
