Okay so looking at all this why should I pick the 123A over the 122B+?

The Swedish 2A8s are designated 123B; the 123As are the upgraded 122s
I genuinely, seriously cannot fathom what makes you think that gaijin will downgrade the armour of the 122 → 123A when there is literally no evidence to suggest that the armour was even touched at all in the entire upgrading process, except for a few quote I found saying that they had improved the protection of the crew (which I would like to make very clear (even though you will almost certainly ignore this part and every other time I’ve said this) that I am NOT saying the 123A should have better protection than the 122B+, unless ofc more reliable evidence shows otherwise).
Just because the 123A is said to be of 2A7/2A7V standards, it does not mean that they changed the hull armour; you can actually see that the 123A’s UFP is more similar to the 122D’s than the 2A7V’s (who would’ve guessed?). Moreover, they were actually brought up to Strv 123 standards, which were chosen by the Swedish military, so that point is moot anyway.
And @dotSHINI, while I agree that the 2A8 would make more sense for them to model compared to some of the other tanks that have been mentioned, the 123A being very similar to the 122 means that they will basically only need to swap the gun, and add a few doohickeys like “that big fat camera at the front”.
