It’s not. It was developed with Hungarian for their needs. Like the Italian one will be and possibly future american one
I always have two LTs if possible since you can die in the dumbest ways at times though I don’t really want to focus on CAS as much as I want to try and let my team know where the enemies are coming from to try and bump their awareness up. Some people will ignore it though…
its the kf41 chassis with a lancer turret. There is nothing much hungarian there

Anyways, i’m not really sure how badly needed an MBT is right now, personally i’d prefer to see the later variants of the CV90120 or CV90 mk4 with 35mm + APS
Finnish stuff would be great but i don’t have high hopes for those anymore
Maybe the NM-116 from Norway or one of their TOW launcher vics
Otherwise, one could always dream of glorious recoiless

Because they don’t have 123B yet and they aren’t getting it soon.

The strv123b might join at a later date to bolster line ups.
While the A likely might fall into oblivion
They might make the A non-APS and the B comes later with APS perhaps?

The thing is, the A is no 2a7V, the chassis is in fact different, to both 2a7V and 2a8
So there we got gajin choosing the next mbts to develop.
They can either do the work an give sweden/germany unique models of the A and the Strv123A that cant be used anywhere else.
Or they develop a 2a8, sharing nearly all characteristics between germany/norway and in the future being addable for Dutch as well and giving france a up to date APS tank.
I am just looking at it cost realisticaly for gajin whats the easiest for them to implement while getting the most out of it.

The Model is in fact different to 2a7V, add to that the roof armor(yes you can argue 2a7hu) and other details.
